As it stands, Major B&E + Grand Theft is the easiest way to get a perma without seriously inconveniencing other people, as:
The following items fall under this : All Mechs, Command-level IDs, the Captain's Antique Laser and Secure Armory weaponry, Hand Teleporters, the Stations Blueprints or a photo thereof, the Hypospray, Ablative Vests, Advanced Magboots, Advanced Toolbelt, the Pinpointer and Nuclear Authentication Disk and all Heads Jumpsuits.
This means you can break into secure areas and take, for example, the RD's jumpsuit
This is a great one because the RD has very little in their locker that they won't have taken at roundstart, so even if you bust it open and don't lock it again you're not leaving much out in the open to be stolen
Two 15 minute/life sentence crimes will usually get you tossed in perma, especially if you try and break out of a normal sentence
If you want to be kept in there by sec, I advise doing everything in your power to slip and punch sec, but only punch/kick/bite them after you slip them, since this will cause minor brute damage that will heal quickly without needing a doctor
Do remember that too many offenses can cause execution, though

This is what I get and what I deserve for playing diona and refusing to chug 1000u hyperzine at roundstart, playing assistant and trying to be helpful instead of being a shitter, trying to talk things out first and foremost, giving security the benefit of the doubt, and being absolutely cooperative and non-hostile even when there are abundant opportunities to robust or straight up murder a fumbling HoS who showed himself at least to be shit, if not overtly antag, until the very end when it was too late.

If I really wanted to be a scumbag and have my fun at others expense I'd just powergame and shit all over anyone else who gets in my way, toe every line, and hunt for antags and valids of my own. That's the nature of the player culture on this server, after all. And I'd actually roll for antag instead of keeping it turned off.

Funnily enough, I actually didn't have it.

Some guy who wanted to get perma'd broke into the Captain's Office early in the round, so all the stuff he stole ended up in evidence. I believe the laser ended up in the hands of my Warden when we went to fight the giant spider queen that broke into the perma brig.

That's not how it works. Radiation effects are called on every life() tick.

The only check for ghouling per life tick is the flat 1/1000 chance, and that is only checked if your rads are above a certain very high threshold, and even then only after you pass through the other cumulative 5 checks for horrible radiation shit to happen to you in that tick.

There's nothing in the radiation effect tick code for preventing, reducing, or altering the chances of any of the effects by any outside factors aside from radiation level.

They're on a flat, unalterable probability chance per check.

Some chems can reduce or heal the after effects of some of these radiation effects, but nothing changes them happening in the first place. Ghouling included.
