- Gregory Benford's Galactic Center Saga for even more refined Reapers (they search out advanced civilizations and destroy them)

- David Brin's Uplift stuff for a "humans are newcomers and no one likes them" view plus "that one old race everyone worships"

Once that's done you really don't have to focus on what they want anymore and you can proceed to spend all resources, time and development on Cora and PB.

I can appreciate Liam, I don't really want to romance the guy, but in terms of human companions he's pretty lively, better than Cora at least and definitely MILES better than Jacob.

Yeah but it was a staple. But I guess with Singularity priming armored and shielded targets it's not as necessary as it once was. Plus it was a bit overpowered.

MEA squad members fall into two types, three face-mauler tanks and three ranged support

Both humans are face-mauler types. Liam is a deeply mediocre one, Cora is actually pretty strong.

But in exchange, Liam has actual personality, Cora is kind of a rock unless you play a male character and romance her.

I benched them both for aliens pretty much immediately on getting the first two alien squad members.

I fucking hate myself for caving in and buying the game, the multiplayer is a laggy shitfest if you don't host yourself, the singleplayer bugs that make 100% completion impossible,
the random stuck-loading bug, sound dropping completely mid-match and normie turds that don't configure their mic settings leaving them open constantly make for a miserable experience. I can look past the quality issues like shit facial animations and the like. But the worst offender by far has to be the UI for PC

So I downloaded this piece of shit and after a few minutes of playing, it crashes with a dx error and something about "gpu could have been removed". I've looked it up and apparently, its eating away at all 16gb of ram and ends up crashing. I'm running a gtx 1080 and i7 4770k. Is there a fix for this?

Way I see it is, if you want to be effective, Peebee is basically mandatory because she's by far the best support squadmate with her Invasion power and her Pull that can be evolved to make affected targets take additional damage, so she's like a force multiplier making you hit things even harder, and then Cora or Drack just as an immortal distraction tank.

Unless it's an Architect, in which you want squadmates with good long range weapons to do consistent damage for you. Liam or Jaal and Vetra are best for that.

Level 80 is basically the soft cap. That's where weapons and armor hit max, every level after that is just enemies getting stronger while you cannot.

Hitting the hard cap of 132 (at that point, the game starts bugging out) is entirely a theoretical thing, and it would take grinding out multiple NG+ games or something. That shit's rarely going to happen legit and only some kind of maniac would want it at that point since it starts taking something like 4-5 Black Widow X headshots against the weakest Kett enemy to kill them.
