If I look like I am underplaying the relation they have, it is because of my comparison to all the other factors that tie knight to the emperor. Is KotFT completely singleplayer then? As in, all the story content, similar to how EE was?

A buddy and I would love to play through it, but the fun for us comes in with multiple characters acting in dialogue (or at least being able to watch alongside the other, maybe). We loved leveling in the class stories, but we want to know if they've improved it at all in the new expac or if it's simply the same it has been for the past while now.

If not, is there much point to us even coming back to play? (We don't do PvP, we don't find it very fun compared to PvE stuff)

I think torgruta is the only race you don't get. afaik you get all xpacs when subbed, at least you did if you were subbed when they released, but i think its true either way. You also get free monthly cartel coins for being subbed, and more free monthly if you have an authenticator attached to your account.

Just picked swtor back up after not playing for a year or so. And i have level 5 legacy but outside of the class quest xp boost im not sure what else to dump credits into. I'm finding SWTOR to be fairly fun just due to the stories, but the actual gameplay is incredibly tedious. There's barely any challenge, even in heroic +2 areas (haven't seen any heroic +3 yet). Fighting enemies is pointless because a) you get so much xp from missions that what you get from fighting barely matters, b) as long as you do some missions you will be tremendously overleveled and get scaled down anyway, and c) nothing they drop is worthwhile, especially because you are already way overleveled. And on the planets everything just respawns 30 seconds later anyway.

Why haven't they just made it really easy to skip past the pointless encounters and just do the harder or plot-related ones? Also, is there a way to keep with the curve so that areas pose challenge and have worthwhile loot? Or is this just how the game is?

Nowadays when I want a challenge I set my comp to passive and take off my gear (besides MH/OH).

As for skipping encounters, you can't unless you roll a stealth class.

Valk has the most personal connection with Warrior and Knight but they are fundamentally different relationships.

With the Warrior, it's a clear sort of master-apprentice type deal but more equal than most of those types that we see.

With the Knight, it's clearly a form of respect and equality. I remember that on Voss at one point, one of the non-Voss force users claims of the Knight "You have a void in you, I will fill it with pain" while all your jedi master friends claim that Valk "isn't even darkness, just a void"

I always read that as both the Knight and Valk being more similar in personality and nature than Valk and Warrior/Wrath.
