Why does it looks all purple with dark blade ?
I applied it with a character who has 25 FTH and a canvas talisman +10, it looks all purple. But with another character who has 60 FTH it looks different, only the tip of the weapon gets an effect, I used yorshka's chime +10 and canvas +9, the result is the same.
Help me understand wtf happens.

You'll want at least some investment into Str and Dex since most of the spellblade weapons have decent-ish requirements.

As you level Att you can shave off points in Adp since they both increase Agi. More i-frames is good but after a certain point you just need to get good at timing rolls.

Use that Dragonrider Soul you picked up to make one of the melee weapons, the twinblade is stupidly heavy but deals godly damage. Halberd is pretty run-of-the-mill.

Pump End up to around 20, that's the soft-cap and is good enough for rolls and whatever melee you're going to do.

Once you get some Ascetics, use them on Najka, Skeleton Lords and two on Freja. The first two give you some very powerful caster rings, the latter gives you two of the best sorcerer items in the game.

You'll want a Raw infused non-scaling weapon eventually, like Santier's Spear. Dealing Magic damage is well and good, but if you plan to do the DLCs you'll need some physical damage.
