I'm getting there guys, I've almost certified my autism for the first time.

Are there builds that are fun during leveling and early mapping? Every build I research requires endgame skillpoints/endgame gear/fully leveled gems/rare uniques or expensive rares to even start to play properly.

It doesn't have to be the fastest/best endgame setup, but I'd like to have some semblance of enjoyment *before* running t10+ maps and scouring poe.trade for that atuistically perfect gearset that the build can't function without.

so I edited the config file to reduce the texture quality and in the file vsync is set to false, but when i open the game it turns vsync on. If i turn the vsync off in game it resets the texture quality.

need some help on atlas stuff for SSFHC

so i'm playing facebreaker shield charge slayer and i need to get some steel rings. i'm slowly climbing the tiers, got some 10s and 11s now (but havent done an 11 yet since i think i'll probably do shaped strand meme shit). what's the best course of action to get my steel rings without fucking my atlas up too royally?

i'm thinking that i should unlock all t1-10s, then unlock excavation as the only 11, farm excavation (which is going to be hellish) until i get a necropolis, then shape strand and uncomplete excavation, then do necropolis into lair into mineral pools into abyss?

Took some time to actually try PoB a little bit more for once (previously it was far simpler shit than this) and yeah, I imported my level ~85 character and the DPS was ~20k (level 20 gems, no quality) and with the Realm Ender, it's ~28k, with a +3 staff it's ~29k (+1 gem to Empower)

Really it's 1 new act and five reskins of the previous acts. At most all that changes progressionwise is at what level you leave dried lake. It will still be the same shit and the novelty of the new shit will wear off after a week. I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of the new areas just used the map tilesets that were introduced in Atlas of Worlds.

Has anybody tried caustic arrow? How is the scaling? Do you hit a roadblock late in the game?

I've leveled an occultist and now I'm 77 using CA + ED for bosses with a legacy silverbrough with all the chaos/dot clusters picked. So far so good but I'm afraid damage will fall off a cliff in later maps

Spell damage increases the initial hit and debuff.
DoT damage increases the debuff damage and poison.
Chaos damage increases the initial hit, debuff, and double dips poison.

Chaos damage simply wins out, disregarding accessibility.
Keep in mind that poison won't apply through contagion if you're using it. Personally I don't bother with contagion.

With the +3 legacy version silver, empower, void and rapid decay CA has been melting trash mobs in a second. Bosses melt respectably with wither totem and vulnerability, temporal chains orb of storms setup, plus ED. I also use doedre's scorn

Essence Drain Occultist without Contagion.

ED+Pierce+GMP+RD+VM+CD. Swap GMP to Slower Proj for single target.

- Applies hits, unlike contagion.
- With hits, consuming dark applies poison.
- With hits, Asenath's applies temp chains.
- Temp chains applies mob-wide profane bloom.
- Profane bloom is actually beneficial instead of interrupting contagion spread.
- One cast to wipe packs instead of two
- More hits means regen from ED is actually noticable and helps face tanking
- Faster clear speed with fewer cast means higher regen from Vile Bastion.
- No need to invest in the new shitty AoE, though you do have to invest in pierce.

Contagion feels like the biggest noob trap after this.

At least WoW had ERP fun.

you need 1 cast in your unrealistic scenario where all the monsters align in your GMP projectiles and you never need more than 1 cast per pack

VERY doubtful you have higher clearspeed than a proper ED/Contagion build, you can run less AoE maps with open layout easier but that's it
