plate on them is fine as long as you choose something that doesn't have super wide shoulders without break, and stuff that hugs the arms really tight. You tend to want to choose sets that have thicker sleeves

They look fine in it. The only thing fucked about lalafell equips is the size of their weapons. I feel like they really missed a good opportunity to have all of theirs be a bit "oversized" for their frames? Maybe something close to what Miqo'te equip or slightly in between? Such then that their animations maybe involve a bit more leveraging their larger weapons differently from just ordinary miniatures and the same motions.

Armor and equipment looks fine on almost every race, it just looks better on some than others. Sex is a contributing factor to something looking good/bad on a character more often than race is.
