Leona was fucking trash in XIII. Personally I'd say Daimon is top 10 in XIV but he was also shit in XIII. Mai wasn't very good in XIII either but is great in XIV. The top tier looks way fucking different from XIII. Even in the old games, if you played Kyo in 98 because he's godlike then you move to 98UM or UMFE, whoops Kyo is kinda whack now and gets shit on by Geese and Krauser. Move to 02 and whoops Kyo is shit here too. Play Iori in any version of 98 because he's god tier, move to 02 and you're mid tier, 02UM both Kyo and Iori might as well be unplayable because the god tier in 02UM shits on them so hard they can't win. You can get lucky and have characters that are consistently or semi consistently pretty good, but no character is a surefire thing for future games, especially when new characters are put in the game.

Man I totally forgot to mention how recurring characters in KoF will also dramatically change playstyle in every fucking game so even if you play like 98 Kyo, you're not going to have that in every game, some games you're gonna get fireball Kyo or XI Kyo. XIV Kyo is kinda 98 but not really. Fucking Robert has had so many versions you could make a game of nothing but Robert variations. I hope you didn't get attached to the specifics in how Kim or Benimaru played in XIII because they're fucking totally different now even though their movesets are mostly the same. Even picking the same character isn't a safe bet in knowing how that character will play.

You can cancel the 214C or whatever the low ender to that punch series is into a 421A orb set, then you can change which button you are holding it with. The combo obviously drops there but you get a setup which is the point. Then you can open the enemy up and go into the punch series again, then instead of doing doing the low ender do the overhead, and while that animation is playing let go of the orb to keep the combo going, then I think you can press JC or something after the overhead hits and then go into something into punch series, low ender -> set orb again.

I don't think there's any neat way to display everything in Tekken. Where would you have universal moves like wakeup kicks? Their own sub-menu? Right now not all moves have their own entry in the command list, like when you end a string in the middle. Should they get their own entries or should strings list all the attacks' frame data?
