It's changed a bit, but more like some stuff on top of others. The biggest change is probably the tauntalite meta being dead and mages being a lot better, along with damage moving away from skills and way towards SBs. As far as Cloud's USB goes, from what I heard it's better off for you as RW so you don't have to spend a bar on it yourself.

In the old days, SG was all you needed. Even with no other SBs it was possible to beat the hardest content if you owned only SG.

Now, you probably need Wall, OK BSB/Shout, a healer BSB, and at least a few very strong DPS BSBs to be "set" at the U++ level. For torment level "set", extend that to every realm and add a few niche SBs.

As to Mercedes, she's pretty limited and her enhancements only bring her up to mid-tier. She can greatly help out Tidus or Onion Knight, though, and that's pretty swell. It's a big investment so consider if you really, really think you'll get one or the other.

They'll do for now - medius falls off very quickly. Shine can do some damage, but you'll replace her eventually too. WoL and Cecil will serve different roles once WoL gets his 6*, so it may be worth levelling him up if you have nothing going on.

Rain is literally dead weight on my party right now, and the only reason I keep him there is because of the occasional lapis bonus, so I guess I'll level WoL in his place for now. I might keep Shine on the offchance I find a use for her, her status skills seem situationally useful. ANd Medius looked...terrible but I wanted to make sure of that ahead of time.

So far my team is Orlandeau, Cecil, Refia, Exdeath and now Agrias. I don't really count Rain as useful so with that 4 and a half I'm just starting Mysida, which I hear has a difficulty spike so we'll see how things go there. I've been doing the daily pulls just for the potential of getting something good without burning through my reserves, and I swear to god I'm at about 80% trust on Aiden just from the pulls alone.
