They do, in fact they're supposed to be lore present in the lore than in gameplay; codex says ALL hardsuits worn by everyone have shields. Rather than just elite troops as in-game. ME1 was the only game to get this right, along with many other lore bits (e.g. KBs don't block melee attacks, biotics can fling people around regardless of what defenses they have, etc.) but like those other bits people just found it annoying. So it got toned down for the sequels.

Tann, Sloane, Adderson, and Kesh are basically the main characters. Kendros and that russian guy who works under Adderson is in it too. Probably some other big names I don't reconise because I just met the Angara in the game.

I'm about 60% done the book and they're at about a month in with the station barely working, and right now people are getting antsy with rations and Tann is fucking terrible at speeches.

I agree with you guys, the biotics this time around really makes sad especially considering how great they were in ME3.
I think the biggest problem though is how enemies just take too many hits. Bronze in this game would be Silver in ME3 due too the amount they can sponge and everyone being so low level.

Hopefully they add more unique classes over time like the previous did.

You spend a couple one off chapters with people adjacent to immediate situations (like Na'to/Nacho's death, I assume he's the one referenced in the Nexus / HSN news update about a worker flung into space after colliding with scourge). Calix Corvannis seems like he would play a bigger role, but yeah... my problem with the book is it took way too long getting to the uprising part.

Anyone feel they ruined MEA's ending sequence at the last minute?

You had the big "Hero creates a fleet from nothing, gets to the planet, allies from all over Andromeda come to help as you ride through Meridian in the Nomad to secure the survival of all non-Kett" but then the fight with Archon is so shitty and boring and insists you kill every little remnant robot before you can proceed with anything even though by that point they're literally just tedious more than anything else.

It really fucked up at the final hurdle. Even just fighting a suped-up Archon spamming every biotic ability in the game would've been more intense than that shit.

the physics damage is shit this game, you can fling shit across all of voeld and a few minutes later youre still in combat and the little red dot shows up on your compass. I ran pull/throw/singularity (spec pull and singularity to dmg shields + exploding singularity) for a bit. It's ok against shields, but absolute ass against armor. The more close range skills seem to be better able to dole out the heavy damage, but better still are the tech skills.

Yep. Shield killer and armor killer. Both can be set to prime and detonate. Both track and have great range. Biotics don't have anything that comes close to either of those skills.

I'm sure after the reapers were taken care of, they started sending more colony ships. It's likely that in 5-10 years, another ship arrives from the MW, and brings further culture.

Also, since Control is canon (and there is nothing you plebes can do to convince me otherwise), shepard will probably start building a mass relay network in andromeda within 20 years of the arks arriving.
