Shit in PvE because the damage you do isn't worth the trades and you're going to do some serious Jeet Kune Do with everyone you meet until your r1 button breaks.

It's viable in duels as far as trading goes just so long as you make sure you time it with the shield frames and not at the start. It's not a weapon for crowd control so fighting against a gank is like being a clam being raped by a bunch of seagulls.

I recommend lots of endurance and quality build. Almost the whole moveset is worth experimenting on. In the end, it's just a one-trick pony (alternative to hyperarmor) but it's trick is pretty good as a niche.

When should I do the DLC for III?

Is armor a meme in DS3? I've been wondering if I should just use what armor I like the most.

The first DLC can be done very early and gives lots of large shards for upgrading. In terms of straight-up difficulty, it's probably about as tough as Lothric Castle but there's tricks to every early encounter to make them much easier, meaning you can go partway for materials and gear early on and come back to finish the harder stuff later.

The 2nd DLC is straight postgame. It's the most difficult content in the game and there's pretty much no reason to rush there early as everything of value is locked behind a boss except for a couple really specialized gimmick loot.

Go find weapons with a good r2 that can be paired with r1s and WAs. I'm using the dlc weapons and so far Ledo's, gael, ringed spear, frayed and splitleaf can be fun at keeping people guessing. It all depends on whether the r2 can give you better range, damage, hyperarmor or it can be combo'ed.

Someone please redpill me on how an age of dark is supposedly better than continuing to fuel the fire for as long as it's possible. From the perspective of a human, the alternative of a dark, inhospitable wasteland full of creatures that feast on each other to survive seems far worse than any negative side effects from rekindling the fire too many times. You can call it "unnatural" as much as you want, but it won't change the fact that the age of fire is the best option for any humans that are left. The fire fading may be inevitable, but I would personally rather stave off the inevitable for as long as it is possible instead of accepting it immediately just because it is more convenient.

Guys wtf happened the game feels kinda different now I've even seen casters able to actually do damage to me wtf happened I haven't played since June of last year and came back for the dlc, the gameplay doesn't feel as boring as it did before nor does invasions. Wtf happned what else did from change I thought the game would be dead by now but I'm instantly getting invasions at 39 +3 wtf I've already gotten more than enough sunlight medals, proof of concords, pale tounges, and shackles to fully level up the covenants.

If you want to be a 'caster' faith is a bit lacking in my experience. Miracles are mostly utility and support. Offensive miracles are limited to Lightning spears and emit force. You're definitely gonna be using your weapon a lot if you go with fth. So for a caster experience I'd rather go with int, as fth feels more like a paladin-like style.

Thank you. I don't really care about nuking people with max damage, but I'd like it to be at least respectable. My character was planned to be able to do both coop and pvp, at least as I would be going through the game.

I also don't mind mixing melee and magic, as that sounds like a way to keep things from going stale.

For either build, I planned on 16/14, but I might do something different depending on how good certain weapons are. No one wants to hit like a wet noodle.

So the Grant is good, but what about Dragonslayer Spear, Moonlight Butterfly Horn, and Velka's Rapier. I don't mind if things are "meh" but if they're very weak I'd rather not waste the investment.

How about mixing pyro in as well? The flame is weightless and also provides a plethora of spells I could use.

Hence why the armor is cut. They possibly had some plans for a bridged connection but it didn't pan out so they just cut the armor from the game.

On a side note, I wish we got a good look of what other plans they had when making the concepts and they probably had several ideas to go by with each character or setting before settling on one. Like Priscilla was suppose to be your firekeeper or Champ was suppose to be fought in Consumed Garden.

Most DaS1 bosses are hard because of their environment, which is something really cool that From never really did again. They quickly become trivialized because once you get good control of your character, youre just left with a bad boss.

DS1 has a harder middle kind of. More places that fuck you over like silver archers etc. But then it drops off and becomes easy towards the end. Then the DLC is easy for the most part except for 2 bosses.

DS3 gets harder as it goes a long. There is no 1 agreeable boss that is the hardest in the base game. Then in the DLC friede is hard as fuck and ringed city bosses are hard as well.

Overall I had a harder time with 1 at around the middle. Gargoyles, capra, O&S, but once you learn those bosses, and how to minipulate them, they are easier than trying to manipulate pontiff, aldrich, or gundyr.

From my experience, DS1 had the most punishing combat system with slower attacks and weapons plus the least viable weapon sets in the series. Your rolls were quick but you would still get clipped by bullshit because of the engine.

DS2's dodging was vastly different with rolls being strongly dependent on two attributes; agility and roll distance. The final product had the strong attempt at balancing weapon classes and how dodging worked. You could feint dodge by r1+roll and that made hitboxes come in consistent intervals so you can time your rolls thus making it fair if you miscalculated. Rollcatching became very prevalent.

Bloodborne had quicksteps which were entirely new alternative to rolling as well as a comprehensive moveset with every right-handed weapon. Lots of differences plus healing was set in one button which was also parriable. Hitboxes were improved but the game tends to give you lots of bullshit like Orphan.

DS3 kept the highspeed combat but with Dark Souls rolling; only this time rolling is set to be spammable and have a generous amount of iframes. You can dodge everything so long as you have one point of stamina to use it. It's easier than ds1, didn't punish you for spamming like in ds2 and had the bullshit speed from bb. It kept the worst traits from it's predecessors, making it the worst game on how dodging works.

No matter what the fuck I try, I ALWAYS LOSE IN PVP.

DaS3's are all uninspired midi shit and all sound the same with the same generic crescendo's and screeching strings. You could confuse literally any boss theme with another very easily.

There's no dynamic to the music, no loudness and softness, it's just electronic DaS2 teir stuff.

The singing is literally supposed to be done by a very real Choir up top in the Cathedral Ward literally enacting a ritual..
