Part of getting gud is learning to roll and try and fill with whatever fucking comp you've got. Widowmaker, Hanzo mains and all.

That's how I was able to climb from Platinum rank to Masters skill rank in Season 3. Sure I'm in high Diamond at the moment after the calibration drop but I'm climbing and winning more games than I'm losing.

I can go with the flow but when people pick sombra for example out of spite or orrisa when they have no time on her, it's a dead loss. I had a kid whine on my team when we were up 2-1 and he kept threatening to throw. He ended up feeding and stood there. This happens all the time to me hence why everyone fights in this game. You have a few options.

Have a small party, 3 to 4 players in the group ideally, but even duo queue can work. Make sure everyone in the party knows their role and synergises well.

Now, here's the most important part: Now, you need to go into team chat and make sure your other 2 shitbirds know what you guys are doing, that way they can support you.
When a D.va and a Winston dive in alone while the team can't get through the choke and only then they explain what the plan was, the games already been lost: both tanks are tilted now and the enemy team knows our plan.

I'm the dude that was complaining about being 100sr from diamond for a month. If you want advice from a high plat player:

>Forget golds.
Fuck medals. Stats altogether. They just distract you and tell you you're doing a good job when you're probably not. You can have 28k damage and 60% accuracy as soldier but if it's all shield spam and you only have 10 elims you're not doing your fucking job. Instead of focusing on just DOING damage, focus on WHERE you're doing it. As Tracer you want to be on their backline and supports. If you're just spamming shields and not actually doing your job, golds and medals can still make you think you are. I had a game earlier where we found the teleporter, I was tracer with ult, and I told my team to wait before destroying it. 2 people walked out of it, I ulted them and got both them and the tp, when our team was capturing the point on King's Row. I didn't have a medal for damage. Does that mean I shouldn't have done more damage and did everything perfectly? Fuck no. But things like those that help the team don't get medals given to them. Plays like that and thinking with your smarts are what gives your team an edge, not gold damage.

>Play carry heroes.
Depending on where you are, play Tracer, Soldier, Reaper (if their tanks are the problem), Pharah, Hog, Zarya, Ana and Lucio. Don't play anyone else. Everyone else either has very high mechanical skill or doesn't do the job as well as the heroes I just listed. If you're a shitter and play these heroes and get good with them you WILL climb because a lot of them focus on taking advantage of the enemy's fuckups - and trust me, there are many. Think about the situation, who on the enemy team is carrying, and pick a counter to them FROM THAT LIST. If you can't play them then don't bother - taking Widow to deal with Pharah is a good idea on paper but if your aim is shit you are just hurting your team.

I'll give some more tips in the reply to this.

I don't carry with dps because I think I'm good at them. It's just that a lot (not all) of the DPS at this level I fell into don't ACTUALLY know where to put their damage and key people on the enemy team stay alive for too long. I'd love to keep playing support if I could supplement my team's damage but unfortunately there's no damage to supplement.

Not everyone is a mechanical god - I know a guy in 3300 who has master-tier widow aim but he's literally 11 years old and has no game sense. He can't climb higher than that. Even if your aim isn't great, you should try to recognise where and what you should be aiming for anyway - if you have that knowledge then as your aim improves and matches your gamesense you'll start getting more done.

This is probably a bait but ill bite this time. First of all, join the voice chat. Being friendly and making good calls is one of the biggest things. Literally just git gud, don't get tilted and never blame your team. If someones being toxic just tell them "shut the fuck up and play the video game, no one cares"
Focus on your own gameplay, always think about what could you do better. Only do things that give your team a better chance of winning. Being able to play a few carry heroes well and being flexible is probably the best thing to do in low ranks. (Zarya genji roadhog ana for example work for me) You have to learn to not give a shit about that rank number, it's the thing that makes you tilted most of the time. Also stop talking about "elo hell" its not real.

I tend to just instalock DPS in Plat. Whenever I play any Tank except Roadhog (who's basically a DPS), or any Support except Ana, I end up losing because teamwork is a bit iffy at this rank.

If you can make your picks and kill flankers, your team will find it easier to come together. Also try to be the guy who's warning others against tilting, rather than being the first to lose your shit. Tends to work out better.

I met a guy in a discord server whos 4660, i give him gameplay and he tells me that i suck dick and make 17 mistakes per minute and git gud, but listening to it actually makes me want to play better to impress him. When i make good plays (sometimes without even realizing that i made a good play myself), i get positive reinforcement of "holy shit you're better than mid-GMs lmao".
After 2 weeks i climbed 800 SR.
I can only recommend this.

Grandmaster ana is nightmare fuel.
Good luck killing her. Keep in mind she has the most uncomfortable twitchy hitbox in all game, effective 300 hp and sleeping dart the size of a log.
Also she can outdamage most dps heroes long to mid range.
Dont forget that her team is glued to her!

I don't rage AT my team. I stream on open mic and have push to talk for team chat. If I want to bitch I just do it on stream. Even if I'm tilted as fuck I know that I don't take that shit into the game, I've played league for 2 years. I just want people that play OFF OF eachother rather than treating it like quickplay. I don't give a FUCK if people aren't good mechanically. I just want them to fucking work together as a team. That is all I want and all I will ever want. As such, I try to be the best team player as I can. I don't get toxic and I don't bitch in team chat; IO can count on one hand the amount of times I've gotten angry in voice/text chat to other teammates and it's ALWAYS at the end of the game. I use a G900. They weren't lying about it being 0 lag (ofc there is lag, but it's microscopic and doesnt affect you negatively at all). I love not having any drag from a wired mouse anymore. 30 hour battery life, I just charge it overnight when I go to sleep. Charges exceptionally quickly too.
