I'm from the future, came back to tell you about Sonic Forces and to make tons of cash on the stock market and some other shit but that's not important.

>Only the first zone is all fire, apocalypse, Eggman won, etc everything after that is happy fun time young children cartoon with you reversing Eggman's victory after the first zone and bringing peace and shit
>There are only three bosses though you fight them more than three times
>First is those yellow mass produced Death Egg Robos but you fight them as Classic Sonic, so camera is from the side
>Second is those yellow mass produced Death Egg Robos but you fight them as Modern Sonic, so camera is behind Sonic
>Third is the actual Death Egg Robo, red paint mustache and all, it's the exact same as the other two except every time you get a hit in you change which Sonic you control thus your camera angle on the fight, then at the end there's a "cutscene" where the wisp come in, all band together, and you hit a single button to do the final hit which you can't mess or fuck up, if you don't press anything at all it'll still do it automatically after about 30 seconds
>Classic Sonic speaks at the end but it's just to call Eggman "Baldy McNosehair", those are the only two words he says
>And he's voiced by Modern Sonic's voice actor, doesn't even do anything to make himself sound different and no effect is put on his voice at all

Actually I came across one just recently that really confused me. I was looking for the reaction image you see here, and then this weird fan-art of Amy showed up in my search

Now it was fetish-related what with it being a rather "rotund" Amy, but that wasn't what made me question it. What made me question it was that this particular Amy was a three headed version of herself. The extra heads even had their own personalities, one being the wild-card and the other being the sophisticate. Even weirder was that the person who came up with it also made up a whole backstory as to how that Amy ended up like that.

I've seen a ton of weird art in this fan base but holy shit, that was something else entirely.

I had a dream where Sonic Runners Adventure played like a 3D modern Sonic game just with no boost. They showed off Sonic's gameplay in a Green Hill Zone looking area that had a lot of detail. Seriously, though, maybe 2018/2019? After Mania and Forces drop, I can't see any new games coming for awhile unless there's another Boom game or spin-off in the works.

2015 saw Lost World's PC release and was probably done to give Sonic some sort of major release for 2015, as Fire & Ice got delayed and Runners was the only new thing.

This year we see two new games release barring more delays, so it likely won't happen right now.

Then again, this is all assuming they won't choose to port Colors or maybe finally throw Heroes on Steam. Or hell, go full retard and throw up 06 or Shadow somehow.

I'm not sure. There's always gonna be a group that'll cling to one game, bad or mediocre. But Lost World doesn't even feel like it made that much of a splash. Being Wii U exclusive didn't help, but I'm not sure it's even doing well on PC.

Back when I was 14 I had a Sonic OC that was an Owl and his special ability was that he could impose upon another person's existence. (It's literally the same ability that Mr.Smith in the Matrix has.) He could only do this with Chaos Control however.

He was also supposed to be a deranged maniac and took the Freedom Fighters on a wild goose chase for almost an entire year before they finally found out that a bunch of killings and missing people were because of him and in the final battle I had an asspull where if Sonic used Chaos Control while he was being imposed on then the two Chaos Controls would explosively react to each other and it ended up killing the Owl but not Sonic because he was in Super form.

The Owl's name was Hue Hoots and he was the CEO of GUN's weapons manufacturer.

How autistic was this idea. I genuinely am curious because even to this day I think it's original.

There are plenty more than 4 characters that could fit in there. For the speed sections, someone may prefer Shadow or some other fast character other than Sonic. Just allowing people the option to play as their favorite character.

And as for gameplay, there can be smaller variations within the main traits, Sonic can be overall the fastest, some character can light dash while others can't, some jump higher, etc. Little things that don't invent entirely new gameplay styles, just allow for additional way to play the preexisting ones. I understand that going that way it is likely there would be "character-specific paths", like "this one hidden path can only be found with this character's ability, or can only be reached with this character's double jump" but I don't think that would get to the point that levels would be bloated and directionless. I'm sure that, for saving time and resources making the game if for nothing else, the majority of paths will be available to all characters, though some may be better suited to them. For example, an area with platforms and enemies and a line of rings over a pit leading to death. In this single, simple path, you have 3 options to proceed, some possibly only available to specific characters. I don't think that's bloated or directionless, I think that's just providing various ways to play a single stage.

Is Gemerl just supposed to be Shard now? I know Shard doesn't exist anymore, but he basically has Shard's personality and is even shown fighting Metal Sonic and remarking on their similarities. He wasn't even established in the old universe, so it kinda makes sense that he was brought in to kind of fill the void Shard left as a 'reformed' Eggman robot, even if it's not quite a reformed Metal Sonic.
