I bought DA: I for like 10 bucks from a local store and want to get into it
I played as a two-handed warrior dwarf for a while and so far, it's either doing barely any damage or dying sometimes because I ran out of potions.
Should I make a new char and play a different class? I want to be able to deal more damage but not die after getting sneezed on by a Nug

So I been logged outta 4chan for two months – two blissful months – and now that Mass Effect Andromeda is out, I’m back with a big fat

I TOLD YOU SO.

Yeah, because I’m that petty.

Remember last year when I said Dragon Age Inquisition sucked and that Andromeda would just be more of the same?

And by more of the same I mean:

1) Huge empty zones which in turn cause infinite load screens
2) Glitchy animations
3) Boring Fetch quests/ filler crap with zero real sidequests
4) Shitty dialogue and conversations thanks to voiced protagonist
5) pointless and tedious crafting
6) shitty combat with zero tactics – yes, even on Nightmare

I also predicted that the romances would suck for SisRyder because female players always get fucked up romances, but since I haven’t actually played the game (or read anything about that) I can’t comment.

But yeah. I’m not surprised that Andromeda is just more of the same MMOPRG bullshit that Inquistion was – even after Bioware lied and said that it wasn’t.

I’m also not surprised that there was a controversy about a transcharacter. It’s because Bioware doesn’t give a shit about really representing marignalized people YEAH I SAID IT. Their games are so fucking racist and sexist, even while they pretend to give a shit about being “inclusive,” they’re supporting imperialism and facism and Maniest Destiny (which pretty much sums up Inquistion).

They only really care about truly representing gay people, and it’s not because they care about non-straights, it’s just because the gay people who work for them (David Gaider) pushed for a change.

So no. I’m not surprised that they just keep fucking up. After all, they are the dick-sucking slaves of the bitch goddess that is EA, Destroyer of Video Games.

I have quietly watched EA destroy just about every franchise I ever loved over the years. The Sims, Mass Effect, Dragon Age … It’s over. Those game developers are dead. They don’t make the kind of games I want to play anymore.


After blowing over a hundred dollars on Inquisition – a racist, religiously fascist game that mocks its female players – I am pissed, tired, and disgusted with Bioware. After the ME3 ending, Inquisition was just icing on the bitter cake. Now Andromeda is just more evidence to me that they don’t give a shit.

Finally finished the game, did all the allies & relationships quests except for Liam's (because fuck the exploration in this game) and almost none of the side content (because seriously fuck the exploration) so I'm only judging the main plot.
The two larger hubs were nice compared to DA:I's Redcliffe and Val Royeux but none of the planets really impressed me, in fact all of them felt kind of half-finished and empty. I guess you can't expect good worldbuilding in a new galaxy in terms of lore, but I didn't even feel that joy of discovery that alien environments in an open world game should invoke. Can't imagine 100%ing this one.
The followers are obvious rehashes of OT characters, but Drack turned out to be pretty cool and complex, and I also liked Cora, Lexi, Suvi, Reyes and surprisingly Peebee because they weren't just one sided caricatures of better characters. The others were either annoying or severely underdeveloped, like Vetra. I don't really agree to the people who compare ME:A to DA2 by saying that both are shitty games with good relationships because the companions in ME:A still feel like acquaintances who just exchange many witty quips with one another without being actual friends.
The main quest felt too short and linear for a game of this scale, so it's kind of like DA:I, only with no Flemeth, Morrigan and Solas to make it interesting. The final quest was fun though, way better than vanilla DA:I's Cory fight. I might have actually enjoyed the entire game if it had the same level of energy throughout the entire thing. Overall, it's very average with very few good parts, and the annoying thing is that it feels like it could have been a decent game if it had better writers and area designers behind it, so I seriously hope bioware fires these incompetent fucks in case they make MEA2.
