As an anon said above, I notice that the first 5 turns are kinda free and unless they have the nuts and prep a quest on earlier turns, you have free reign. And once they proq the quest you just start freezing their stuff unless they get lucky enough to still have bouncers and bounce the chargers

I went with murlocs and couldn't be happier. Only legend is leeroy which I already have because before I quit 4 months ago I focused mainly on getting all of the competitive classic legos since they'd always be around (this was before the hall of fame shit though to be fair).

Quest Pally is shit but murlocs and midrange are legit, both of varying flavors, some a bit faster some a bit slower. Lightfused Stegadon is pretty legit too if you combine it with the Steward divine shield package and sea giant along with all of your flood-the-board shit and stuff like knife juggler which synergizes with flood-the-board shit.

I feel like paladin will find itself in the same situation as ronald mage last expansion, in that you can be successful against many meta decks if you tech against them, but you can only fit enough in to make some of the matchups favorable while others suffer and multiple versions will be played based on the meta. Nobody said it was bad, but I only really saw Jaina autists like apxvoid and strifecro crying out about it being 5/5 meta defining auto-include instead of just pretty good. It should have been -1 mana on the discover, discovering an iceblock or frost nova in any deck is so crazy, and discovering that extra gas for burn mage is a tilter. I haven't played with the elemental midrange-ish decks but they also look decent, pyros fits perfectly into those decks

But that's my point, since you have no agency on what your opponent does besides very wonky things like rat (who by the way has no spell equivalent), some very powerful cards are balanced by the very limit on them. There are 2 things I'm not so sure you're considering about the benefits of glyph, besides the obvious spell synergy:

1) it's a better far sight, which means you can glyph into blizzard on turn 3 and 4, to give an example
2)Any freeze mage with potentially 4 iceblocks is a nightmare to play against, not to mention the ones you may also get from tome/book.

It is really a fun and cheap deck. You only need to craft a few rares if you didn't open them and 2 bittertide or even 1 bittertide + Lyra. There is nothing more fun then seeing a Rogue finish his quest only for you to go silence + divine spirit + divine spirit + inner fire on your razorleaf and smash his face in.

The trick here is not to inner fire it vs Mage or Shaman. It is only trick vs Warrior since they run taunts. The trick is to slowly buff it with talonpriest and PWS leaving it 4/11 or 4/10 while saving your combo pieces. If your opponent waste a hex on a 4/11 that can't attack. That is his loss. You have other minions you can buff.

I don't have a list myself, but you'll know it when you see it. It's a tempo list with all the silences, Watcher, 3-mana Watcher, and Hydra, but also with the Inner Fire combo and a shitload of taunt-ups. Aggro has a hard time penetrating a Priest list that can make Handlock-grade taunts, whilst control has to worry about removing big bodies constantly or else risking big burst, all while having plenty of cycle.

2/1 freeze guy is blatantly underrated. Elemental activator, freezes rogue 5/5s to buy a turn for lethal, freeze any big guy if they managed to make it to late game, freezes war axe during early board establishment. lil nigga's been MVP multiple times

Tons of seemingly viable aggro mage decks right now, some with secrets, some with ice block/pyro, some even running quest. But this has been working for me if you're looking for something, and it's retardedly easy to play.
