Yesterday I tried for the first time this game. And currently there are a lot of banners and events going on. I did 1 Lucky draw pull with the mithrils that they have me for no reason. Got two BSB (Vaynes Gloves and Sasuke's Blade) I also got the 50 mithrils from the goblin event. I'm currently sitting on 90 mithrils. What should I do now? Pull on some banner? Wait for better banners? I'll appreciate any kind of help guys!

Anniversary banners 3 and 4 have some stuff you can build around. Refia and Raines BSB are the best on 3, with Orlandeau's OSB and probably Agrias's BSB on 4 being the prizes. You can't really go wrong on either one, especially if you have no dupes. It would probably depend on what characters you want to use for a while, since being new the soul breaks are kind of rarely used.

Duplicate relics can be fine in certain situations: elemental boost, realms with very low synergy, reforging when you have three of the same relic (which is its own issue). Getting 1/11 of a fourth relic you already have after drawing on a full price banner is pretty lame. 1/11 generic/shared (when that was more prevalent) was also poor unless synergy was really needed. It is more of an issue the longer you play the game, though. I'm barely a year in, but am feeling the annoyance of certain duplicates from full-priced draws.

However, those kinds of pulls will never be as bad as a 0/11 draw & not even getting 4* relics from it. I got to experience that a few times, but I don't know how bad it might have really been for the RK oldfags.

What's currently going on is: the party got waylaid by the Veritas of Light and Veritas of Earth. Earth has some history with Fina, and forced her to reassert her Dark Fina identity.
Dark Fina doesn't really want to be in control as she slowly destroys normal Fina by being in the front. So Sakura offers up some ancient magics to dive into (both) Fina's psyche to find the now-buried normal Fina and also learn more about the history of Aldore, Hess, Raegan, the Veritas, visions, and Dark Fina.

More impressive than Onion BSB desu senpai. If you're new, it'll probably be a while before OK can be helpful for you due to the investment you need to put into him. Once you get him past lv. 93 and get motes for his Record Dive, you can pretty much make any team you'd like (physical, magical, mixed). You'll also need his specific job motes; the next III event that's coming up in a few days will have an extra dungeon where they will drop randomly. The same motes are also random drops after beating the III mote dungeon boss, but that is a very difficult battle to deal with early on.

Thancred and Vayne's bursts might not be a good idea unless you have almost nothing else. You'd eventually want a party haste for any party, and large attack boost for running your physical group. VII Cid's Javelin is on the 5th banner, but rolling for any one relic with one roll gives you an extremely low chance of getting a certain thing. Eiko's USB on the same banner is good too, but probably wouldn't help you nearly as much early on. Gambling on getting the offensive bursts on the third banner is probably your best bet now.

Eiko is a very fragile character, unfortunately, so please be mindful of her defensive stats when going into dungeons. Eiko & TGC might be in your party for a while, so that's a nice start. Can't say shit about Thancred, but Vayne has a gimmick where he can shift to being a physical attacker or a mage. Eiko's BSB has a buff that physical attackers can benefit from. A magic-focused Vayne won't benefit from that. Aside from what the other anon said, getting a relic for a character with support 5* would be cool too.

However, did you see any other relics for your favourite characters on the banners?

Oh, this is true. He doesn't really run a support right now, which might be a problem. I don't really see anything on the anniversary banners I'd want to use on a full time support char, though. Vaan's burst is great, but the banner itself might not be as good for a starting character. I like Faris's USB, but I don't know how well it works just on it's own since I usually use it with her BSB, which gives me the full break + magic/power breakdown commands along with wrath to keep the SBs going.

You have an excuse to use TG Cid, that's already a good start. He and Eiko will carry you through most of the early content, as you've started with both a good offensive god and a great healer. Vayne and Thancred are both definitely usable, Vayne as a Red Mage-ish character and Thancred as a thief-ninja hybrid. For now, focus on getting through the Realm dungeons and hoarding as much mithril as possible for the characters you want to use. You can easily play favorites in RK and still be very competent so if there's a few FF characters you like in general it won't hurt to save for them ahead of time. You have a lot of freedom with team composition so go nuts.

The anniversary banners aren't so good for supporters overall. Banner two might be the "best" for them due to Faris & Minfilia, but it's pretty heavy on mage bursts. Banner one is probably neck and neck with it thanks to Tyro, and Vaan. More healing and physical attack on that one, but most of the relics (especially SSBs) have elemental boosts; handy for the future.

The non-anniversary banners aren't so helpful currently, except for Keeper's Choice 2.

1 has the potential of landing Tyro's USB, which is fantastic for early players due to the fact that you'll always have Tyro. 3 has the ever popular Cid Raines BSB so that's a keeper, plus there's a few other requested relics on it. I personally wouldn't pull on 5, it just doesn't have a whole lot that's super great. A rule of thumb for the game is to never chase a single relic, because you'll likely never end up getting them, so you'd want to pull on something that would have a lot of different relics you'd use if you pulled them, and the only one I'd super recommend for you on 5 would be Eiko's USB. With that in mind, I'd say look over both 1 and 3 and see what interests you the most on them and go from there.

With your starting set, it is best if you set him up as a physical attacker unit.
Look for Ramza's Shout as a Roaming Warrior.
Onion Knight is good too early on. His ATK boost is lower, but his Attack command is one that you can chain into other physical attacks, including Soul Breaks.
In your case, the best use for this would be to have Orlandeau use the attack command exclusively, and when his SB is ready, the instant cast cuts out the long casting time.
You should focus on getting Protectga/Shellga and Curaga for Eiko, and Lifesiphon for Orlandeau and Vayne.
Aim for R2 on ProShellga, R4 on Curaga(go to curaja when you can afford it) and R3 on the Lifesiphons.
You will also need a character who can use 5* Support abilites.
You will need to craft the Breakdowns and Full Break, but while you are still young, the 3* Break versions are fine too, those are Combat abilities too, so almost anyone can use them.
Also, while the Spring Festival dungeons are open, try to level up Cloud and Tyro to 65 for their Record Materias. You will need DR.Mog's Teaching and Mako Might.

Whew, Luneth's new BSB carried me to victory, Ahriman dropped a meteor right before the second cast of the BSB and dropped Luneth to almost no life, I was super worried when I saw 3.5K damage tick on him. Not having Arc's instant medica sucks on this, but with this, all mote Cid Missions are done for me.
Only relics are onion slice, luneth BSB and Arc's shellga/regen.

Still working on my FFVII Soundtrack remake (compatible with the Steam version of the game). The point of the remake is to try and get as close to the original INTENTION as possible. I've been poring over Uematsu interviews and statements trying to nail down his inspiration for every track and figure out a style of mixing and performance that best captures what he imagined. FFVII's soundtrack is largely chamber orchestra and orchestral rock with lots of DYNAMICS and I've seen one too many soupy symphonic remakes so I'm finally doing it myself.

I was going to post like five different ways I could clear the Ifrit mote dungeon with completely different characters every time to make the point, but basically the reason people say there's no real tier list is because skills like Divine Ruination chaining aren't gated behind base 5*s or shit like that. I mean, U++ clears are won by sticking Magic / Power Breakdown on your support of choice, the appropriate elemental attack on your mage, and so on, and all you have to do is craft them. Have a character with a Burst? That's who you're using to extend your damage, but it could easily be any other character you have with a Burst, not just Noctis or Olive or whoever finishes your chains.

tl;dr RK isn't BE; barring Nemesis bullshit there's rarely any "gates" to getting the clear you need that you couldn't do with normal means.

Bartz also has the nice combination of having Entrust and a LB charge bonus ability. The thing about Entrust is that he gives the percentage of the bar, not the "number" of energy. For example, he can very easily get the bar full in a turn, maybe two and give the bar to someone like Noctis who needs five hundred fucking uninterrupted days to fill his LB.
That being said, it's obviously niche and situational as LBs aren't that hot in this game with some few exceptions. Then again "few" is relative, in Exvius you get like 100 characters and only a small handful are worth a fuck, so if the Entrust gets you to spam on the two doublehand units and Noctis that might already be "a bunch of the usable people".

Curada is a very nice option. It has 4 uses right from the get go at R1. Definitely worth it if you don't plan on using its crystals for anything else.

Hybrid damage uses a formula that averages both your stats and the defensive stats of the enemy, so only exceptional hybrid users can actually benefit from it.
There are no hybrid finishers aside from iceslut herself, so it's not particularly usful.
She needs her own TM anyway, so you'd need dupes to even see it in action.

I drew Thancred's BSB in the lucky draw so what do you think would make a better team:

A team based around fire with Refia and Thancred's BSBs and Terra's OSB for damage, and Relm with BSB for healing and Gordon with Fire Shield for Breaks/whatever

or

A holy team with Beatrix's BSB and thundergod's OSB, Relm and Gordon for same as above and 1 character to fill in for whatever.

I as of yet don't have any hastegas or shout/equivalent

I guess it depends on whether you want to do the easier or hard ones first. Quad foul is pretty easy provided you have the breakdowns and they are all honed at least once.

As far as Curada, there is a list on reddit called
"Choose Wisely: All Possible 6* Ability Combinations". That has a chart that you can look at to see what crystals are used in other abilties, since you are really limited to how much you can hone stuff. You might want to look that up if you haven't crafted anything yet. They do have Allegro Con Moto on the list though, which we didn't get since they skipped the bard motes.event That might complicate things a bit.

Made the knife, should I just sit on my metal eggs and not craft anything else until I can get enhancement mats? Not that I really have anything I can enhance...

Without a native shout or vessel of fate. it might be tough to run a mixed team. Terra's OSB does decent damage and can be repeated since she can use wrath, but without a magic buff it might just do disappointing damage. You'd have to bring VoF all the time as a RW.

I guess you can use yshtola as a mage if the enemy is weak against wind or earth. You wouldnt want your healer doing damage in later content. However, what content do you even need mages for besides that dinosaur battle? Mages suck unless you have a bunch of equips TMs and team synergy.

Affliction Break is probably the hardest one, especially if you do not have some sort of AoE breakdown soul break. Omega Drive, while being one of the harder dungeons, doesn't have as punishing of a gimmick as AB does.
Question about your party: what do you have for Alph? If you have his BSB, you might be able to use it to cheese Tritoch. You'd still have to be mindful of the target scores, though.

Hmm, looking at the amounts of healing it's pretty close. The mind/magic buff stacks with a lot of stuff, but if you're comfortable using Relm stick with it for now, since the Last Stand and instant heal command 1 are pretty useful. You might want to experiment eventually.

Should I keep my RW as Faris with her USB or change it to something else? I'd like to avoid using more popular RWs like Cid reins with his BSB. Would rather bring something unique and useful over something someone probably already has ten different choices for on their follower list.
