Brigand Twin Daggers have always been the WORST twin weapons.
The last patch cemented this even further by boosting the speed of the drang hammers and twinaxe L1s.
Dagger one-handed moveset is AWFUL - it micro-stuns, can't combo two r1s, players and enemies recover faster than you do and can outmash you
The L1s are offensively slow and don't step forward nearly as well as the other paired weapons, giving you terrible range.
You can't even combo an r1 into an l1 like with EVERYTHING ELSE
Terrible R1s and terrible L1s + quickstep = SHIT, no options

On top of that all the other twin weapons do more DPS in PvE anyway

It's not a greatsword, it's an ultra greatsword.

You're supposed to use the WA and set it on fire, then deal bonus damage for a short duration. It's a very nice source of fire damage without the need to invest in Faith or Int.

Also I really don't recommend Ledos. Great club is best for weight versus damage but Great Mace has a little more damage but hefty and weighty compared.

Like I said adjust vit accordingly.

As for Ledos you'll be putting in 6 points for weight and you should really be only caring about two handing ultra weapons anyway. Contrary to popular belief defense does matter as there's 5 breakpoints.

If DEF >8x ATK, deal damage equal to 0.10 * ATK
If DEF >ATK, deal damage equal to (19.2/49 * (ATK/DEF-0.125)^ 2 +0.1) * ATK
If DEF >0.4x ATK, deal damage equal to (-0.4/3 * (ATK/DEF-2.5)^ 2 +0.7) * ATK
If DEF >0.125x ATK, deal damage equal to (-0.8/121 * (ATK/DEF-8)^ 2 +0.9) * ATK
If DEF <0.125x ATK, deal damage equal to 0.90 * ATK

Follow something along the lines of these armour's statistics. These are epik armour choices that are optimal but don't let it dictate your fashion.

Also Slave knight chest and Gundyr's entire set are good. I like Slave Knight chest with Gundyr legs and arms for fashion.

As you build your character:
Seeing as there's a two handed cap at 39, you should get 26 STR A.S.A.P for the bulk of your two handed damage. Focus on other stats then get that
tl;dr reaching 99 str is worth it two handed.

The first time i fought the Nameless king was with my pure caster. After i died the first time, i could see i wasn't going to get anything done any time soon and i was tired, so i summoned a guy and beat him right after.
