A lot of people I know got started on the good ol' Sanwa JLF but after trying it out, switched to the Seimitsu LS32.
The Seimitsu has a little bit more resistance to it and feels a bit more stiff, which most people liked bc the JLF can feel very flimsy and easy-to-trigger.
I have modded all my sticks with Seimistu parts.

If you've never used a stick before you're not going to care that that stick is kind of crappy. You might be able to find a better stick with Sanwa or Hori parts on eBay or Craigslist. For new, you might want to spend 20 more bucks to get Qanba q1, Drone, or Whatever.

I have an even cheaper Mayflash that looks just like that. I got it for my friends to play on. I don't like it as much as my Hori, and I don't know if the parts are going to crap out, but a stick's a stick.

Balrog might be one of the hardest players to master. He has no projectiles, he is not very fast (compared to the really fast "ninja" types) he cannot kick and he lacks good wrestling moves unlike zangeif or alex. He is very powerful yes but pretty limited. I never liked playing as him.

So I tried a lot of different bb characters and I hate Azrael's links, Arakune's movement, Tsubaki being boring, and Relius being a really shitty Zato.
