OK so, how about some actual discussion pls.

A couple months ago some posts in /mcg/ led me to think up an idea to pitch to the TrainCraft people for legit armored trains in the mod.

To make it easy, I identified a few engines and railcars that were actually used in armored trains during WW2, OR wouldn't look out of place as one. Pic related was not actually armored, but would look boss doing it.

I finally threw out the idea to them today on the discord, and I was immediately met with "NERRR IT'S TOO HARD TO ADD NEW THINGS AND THEY ARE RE-WRITING BUGGY CODE NERR" despite my clear emphasis on CLONING and not making completely new models.

So how fucking hard is this stuff anyway? I know nothing of Minecraft programming in the slightest. I am used to simulators which allow for cloning and re-naming of assets with relative ease.

I'm trying to play singleplayer though. There were no problems just yesterday and I haven't changed anything since, not even a single mod added, removed or changed.

If it helps, the instance launches fine, crashes only when I load a world.

Ring of Thor only really affects Terra Shatterer iirc, Loki I've never seen used, and Odin is just buffs: the bauble - which seemed a little OP for what BMB was going for.

I suggest tweaking the default configs a bit, the default ones have one small structure every 8 chunks, one medium every 12, and one large every 16 I think. Raising all values by 50% should be good enough to fix the spam, or 100% if you still feel you see them too much.

This really bothers me, it's all cool toys with no purpose since none require me to actually setup automation chains, and even if I were to out my own volition, you can't really maintain a stable influx of raw materials for more than what a quarry lasts which is nothing really, and then there's hooking up the quarry to your factory (without ender chests or tesseracts) which takes longer than what your quarry actually lasts.

Honestly, my main issue with paid mods is that it pushes the focus from "what's cool to add to the game?" to "what's going to make me the most money?". I suppose I could say that it's part of the reason for why I don't work on content mods as much anymore.

Two problems with that:
1. There's a world of difference between making a game from scratch and making a modification for a game.
2. By adding compensation for modding, you get people who only make mods for money, instead of because they like Minecraft enough to add new features to it. Thanks to that, the quality of mods in general will fucking plummet.

Modding should remain as a hobby first and foremost. If a mod gather enough fans, that's great, they can donate to the modder and that's it. But I guess the merchants can't let this chance pass them, now can they.

If you surround the revolver in gold blocks it becomes the golden revolver, doubling its damage and making it more accurate.

The other day I played Minecraft for the first time.

Vanilla automation is like Buildcraft, easy to make the materials but harder than anything to make. Still playing Forever Stranded, on and off. Made significant progress.

But in order to get ready for spess, I'm going to need alot of titanium, and for whatever reason titanium dust only rarely comes from nether gravel. And the only source of netherrack comes from using redstone dust on barrels of lava.

They were the armour equivalents of the Charged ring (+recharge speed) and the amulet of emergency shielding. I'm just not sure if there was a way (with current knowledge/skill) to integrate into the thaumcraft runic event handler.

At the moment, there is 50% shield increase, rejuv on shield break, kinetic blast on shield break, and increased damage reduction on the armour itself. Rejuv and blast effects scale with number of parts with that augment

i think something like a thaumostatic harness would be ideal, if it only functioned within 1000 blocks of something fueled that requires infrastructure like the thaumostatic pylon from automagy.
while away from your structures, you could have a combo of jump boosting and slow falling (like you can with a flaxbeards steamsuit), and possibly flight but it would have a relatively small storage of liquid fuel that can't realistically be replenished away from infrastructure.
