Twilight Princess's start might be slow but it never particularly bothered me. Ordon village is a pretty big contrast to what the rest of Hyrule is going through at the beginning of the game.

Biggest thing that always bothered me was Wolf Link. He's underpowered and underutilized. By the time you can freely switch forms there's little reason to use Wolf Link. Wish they would have given him some means of upgrading.

I really wish Twilight Princess was better than it was. All the potential was there, the world is nice and big, the presentation and artstyle allowed for a darker game, the music is excellent, but unfortunately really only felt like a retread of OoT that didn't bring much new or exciting to the table for me. The wolf shit was honestly really annoying in hindsight. Ultimately it feels like it's just going through the motions of being a Zelda game, I guess.

I can respect your opinion though, it's still a great game though, don't get me wrong.. Midna is definitely up there as one of the best companions, and the game has some wicked items in ball and chain, twin clawshots and the beyblade.

Don't get me wrong, I love this game, but holy shit is it not perfect.

Menus are made for touchscreen, but there's no ability to use them so. Should have been reworked entirely.

Pro Hud was intended for all of the information to be on the Wii U pad, but it isn't there. Should have been reworked.

Story is short as fuck, and overwhelmingly so, to the point it's barely relevant even.

Story quests are short, except for Gerudo, and even then it isn't even long. The Rito don't even have a questline, just shooting 5 targets and off you go to hit another 4 twice each. Was a great action sequence though.

Battleshrines and Gift Shrines are repetitive, only a handful of shrines are even long or difficult.

Green tunic design is awful.

Bossfights are piss easy except thunderblight.

Last boss has only 2 phases and one of them, the very iconic pig form, may as well have been a cutscene.

As for a Zelda game, the amount of items is lackluster and there's no themed dungeons at all, some areas like forgotten temple, lanayru promenade and Dracozu lake are pretty much what you'd expect the entrance to a real dungeon to look like. The dungeons we got are pretty short and all look the same, but they do have pretty good atmosphere imo.


This game is by no means perfect, but what it does well it does pretty fucking well, and it has the potential to bring the series to a level no other game seems like it can achieve imo.

I just did that one in legends a week ago or so.
Don't know if you play the wii U version and how much they rebalanced it in legends. But i managed it with zelda somewhere around level 40.
Also, I didn't use the baton although it had the recommended element but I really dislike its moveset. I did much better with the rapier.
Just focus wizzro and volga first or they tear your base apart.

Is there like a "if you stand in this place and a star fragment falls, it will always fall at that place over there" spot?
I know you can't force star fragments, but I'm wondering about just letting the game idle while I do other things and looking up at the screen every so often to see if there's a pillar of light ready for pickup.
