That's what repositioning skills and ridiculous offensive/defensive buffing is for. Hector's Goad is especially important for offense because of their constrained movements. The defensive buffs are more for surviving magic attacks than anything else.

It's a throwback to the infinitely reclassing "feature" in Gaiden. There were no female villagers or swordfighters back then, so they probably had to find a way for them to do it through other means. I haven't personally played through Echoes yet, but it seems like there's data for girl spellcasters being able to reclass to priests and alter their spellset a bit(usually replacing their attack spells with Nosferatu and Angel).

Serious, what is IS going to do with healers?

I'm sure they know they're terrible in most situations and especially in the arena. They even blocked them from inheriting pretty innocent skills that would have made them usable at best that all other units can inherit.

They can't keep adding healers that nobody wants, plus for some reason all the healers have special qutoes even tho they can't use specials.

I'm thinking they're going to introduce a more combaty staff that limits healing output and maybe the s-skill slot we were teased with have some nice healer centric skills.
