Basically, from what I gather Cliffard only has Zeinesis' third potential, the x2 affix stats one.
Stat-wise they're making it sound like they're basically the same. Only units have different performance, but the set bonus on those are trash just like every other 12* unit
So, yeah, you'd be "upgrading" it purely for the looks.

Think of it as the Gix replacement for people who either couldn't obtain Gix or are willing to pay for the privilege to skip the Gix conditional with Zenesis affix bonus. Personally that's not good enough to get me to upgrade, I'd rather just keep my Astra let alone my Gix and recoup meseta for ep5.

The best affixes involve SAFs, the rng is mostly just upslotting to 8s. At that point I would honestly just use an aura weapon over Zenesis anyway.

What determines how you get drops from Elder? I just did 10+ Falz Arm runs, and beat XH Elder without dying once while having triboosts and rare drop boost active, but got a crystal full of meseta and only like 6 weapons none of which were above 9*.

While it was initially like that, they've changed it since. So now, the cooldown is not tied to your account, but rather individually for each character.
It has been this way for a while now, and unless they decide to suddenly change it back, it is safe to turn in the COs as many times as characters you have.
If you have 3 characters, you can effectively get 6 copies in just 3 to 4 days.

If you need to use it before maint, may as well just get yourself an exp boost3/another history weapon for the class you're doing (or alternatively a katana and sub br for ezmode, but those are the most expensive ones), use a 75 or 100 exp, a 100 or 125 tri, get tokyo unit installs for exp, and go at it now.

The simulator sets all class boosts on by default, which implies every class is at 75. You have to turn off the boost for every class you don't have at 75 to see your real stats.
