Honestly doesn't matter much, all the heavy armors aside from Havel's are so close in poise and absorption just pick whatever looks good.

There are some exceptions, Knight set has low elemental defense but pretty good physical. Northern Trousers for some reason is way overstatted.

I've essentially drilled Midirs and Gaels movesets into my mind, they can be done first, or if I'm using a weird / slow weapon, second try.

I generally go out of my way to kill Demon in Pain first, because the laser leaves Demon Prince vulnerable for a short time, and fuck dealing with all those fireballs.
