Yes. He's only using them because it's supposed to be a deck you can make without spending any gems whatsoever. It's also not the most consistent or highest scoring deck because of that.

You could also consider farming level 30 Kaiba. Easier, cheaper, and more consistent wins/high scores. Pic related should get you about 7k score (8k with the current event). Less likely to get what you want per-drop, but it may be a more efficient use of your keys if you're losing too often against level 40.

I have nothing against GX era cards since nothing from that generation has anything that turned the entire game into 3 turns win duels. It's the synchro possibility that scares me. The later gen of synchros that came out really sped the game up and Duel Links is already pretty fast as it is. I don't want there to be cases where people just win turn 1 again.

Which is why I assumed the stuff was placeholders until I got the the XYZ shit. This wouldn't be the first time Konami has reused Tag Force assets though. A couple of stuff in Duel Links are old Tag force assets to begin with. The unused Bakura stuff is from Tag Force so I'm taking a wild guess that they are placeholders and end up getting replaced with revised art.

A lot of GX chars are in there. There are some 5D chars as well, but unlike the XYZ and Pend card background things I posted, there isn't one for Synchros. If they really do plan on adding XYZs then Synchros are obviously gonna be in here, so I guess they're just dumping stuff as placeholders, some out of order.

Its not because of that. Both Duel Generation
and Legacy Of The Duelist for Steam were made a by the same third party company which before doing Yugioh games they did Barbie games for the DS. They have completely abandoned the Steam game and are now focusing only on the mobile version which is Duel Generation. Also, i wouldn't say its dead since they keep doing events once every week and updating it to improve the online and fix the bugs. They also added Pendulums some months ago and they even said they would like to add Links eventually. In short Konami doesn't have anything to do with them and this company or game doesn't exist for Konami as far as we know

Browser games or games like this in general tend to have years worth of content ahead of time so the devs can always take breaks and they never risk a month of downtime. The main cast for GX and 5Ds are in, as well as extra weevil and Bandit Keith Tier chars from their eras as well. There are a lot of chars who I assume to be from ARC-V and Zexal but I haven't kept up with those two so I'm guessing it's the same case for them as well. I've just had a really intense duel where it boiled down to my opponent absorbing my two Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragons for his two Relinquished and I only had Cyber Stein on the field. Fended their attacks on him using Enemy Controller and Sphere Kuriboh. Next turn I top decked Mystic Box and gave him my Cyber Stein and summoned Jerry Beans in attack position to kill his now Cyber Stein and win the duel.

I really wish we had a replay feature for these memorable moments. It's also kinda crazy how this was all in Silver 2 with double Sonic birds/Senjus.

Theres a repay option which i thought we would have been able to put our duels in but nothing. Konami said they would add more social stuff in so maybe they'll finally do something with it cause right now that option only takes space

I can't be the only one excited to see all these stuff they are adding right? I want Duel Links to become the ultimate Yugioh game even if it only focuses on Speed Duels. Maybe Konami will hear the playerbase and make it like the normal Yugioh someday

Nope, I am too. I love Yu-Gi-Oh! Well, loved, I guess you can say. I stopped playing the game in late 2006. But before then, I loved collecting cards, buying booster packs, trading, sorting, looking at the card arts, reading about the lore/trivia, building all types of different decks, and dueling of course. I'd love to play again. I've been wanting to get back into it for the past couple of years, however there are just no local scenes around a metro area like mine.

Mobile Yu-Gi-Oh! is the future. Accessible for us, profitable for Konami. It's a win-win. Let's just hope that Konami doesn't draw any "Greed" cards and asks for much $ to be "required" to get a strong footing in this game. Make it like real life where you simply buy packs and trade with others. I'd even probably justify the "buy this individual card for $x" thing if a FAIR price was asked.

If even half of this comes true, this game has years worth of content. Something tells me they analyzed Pokemon Go's extensive list of fuckups and are making sure none of that happens with their game. Yugioh isn't anywhere near as popular, but this will give the game a large, consistent playerbase.
