SF3 is fucking garbage, there was no thought put into how parries work and they single handedly decide the tier list and shit on solid fundamentals.
There's no fucking risk to air parrying and the risk reward for ground parrying is so stupidly skewed in favour of parries that playing a slower character is not worth the trouble at even mid level play.

Personally, I don't find the lack of technical skills requirements in the game that much of a problem but when you add to that what I think it's the worst neutral game out of a mainline SF game it makes the overall experience much more boring to both play and watch.

To be fair, execution in SFIV was way too mandatory for the game in order to be played in its fullest potential. 1F links can be cool if they're done properly, giving them to every character's bnb just ends up being obnoxious for both newcomers and higher level players (imagine if plinking didn't exist).

This said, I agree that fighting games need flare and expression. I always call it the "prodigy" factor because it's that aspect of fighting games that makes you really interested in them because you know it's not easy at all to perform but really rewarding and entertaining when you do it.

Any other keyboard users have problems getting two button combinations in old games that require they be pressed on the same frame? It feels like everyone I play against gets that over 90% of the time even when they aren't veterans, I don't know if my keyboard being a non-gaming one makes it worse or me being dumb but I can't get that shit over half the time even not under pressure when trying it in practice, the failures don't even feel like I did them any differently.

Wouldn't ghosting fully prevent it? I know a lot of my key combinations don't work but I didn't hear it can make ones that do work fail at random, though this does feel like it's failing at random. And it's just for the really strict 2 button combo games, can throw in the newer SF games just fine, but no matter what buttons I set the games requiring the same frame input fail a bunch.
