You know the shrine quest where you need a blood moon? If you're unlucky, blood moons are rare. You can force one by going to the Yiga hideout, look for a series of 5 frog status with offering bowls in front of them in the area before entering the hideout. Offering 5 bananas will net you a Korok seed. Offering apples, however, forces a blood moon. It's like the Yiga god gets angry at the apples that he makes it a blood moon the next night.

To give one problem: you can't keep a concentrated bloodline with that much space between events. Shit happens. Odds are that most almost every female in Hyrule by the point of BotW has the goddesses blood at this point. No amount of Inbreeding can solve this extraordinary massive timespan.

That's of course not taking in the fact Hyrule would have had to be a standing kingdom for that length of time.

It's pretty clear BotW was originally intended to have a story following SS, but that was likely changed later as they wanted to 'break away' more from series conventions. Its possible (and most likely) the creators just rebooted the series completely, making a game so incomprehensibly placed in the 'timeline,' that any and all possible events no longer matter.

But if the game still keeps to the established timeline, then those 10,000 years need to be filled in or else nothing is going to make sense.

So I'd like to think that, in the case of the latter, the peak-technological Hyrule was before, or a little after Skyward Sword, when we are absolutely sure robots were a thing. The Divine Beasts would be named how they were after they were re-discovered. Because enough time would have passed between SS and now, Ganon and Demise would be essentially synonymous at this point.

No, that's literally the answer. The Triforce is in the sacred realm, unless explicitly stated to be carried by the 3 chosen ones, having been torn to pieces and needing to be put together again, or just straight up in the real world like in SS.

The sacred realm is there always holding the triforce, unless something makes it change, which was not the case in this game since there's no dark world corrupting it.

In the town where the Gorons are there's a spot up on a cliff near to it. When I go to that exact spot, there's a minecart there, not attached to anything. No rock underneath it or anything. I just thought of something. This is a weak justification for this, but do you think maybe the fact that the Master Sword can run out of energy and be weakened indicates it hasn't rested long enough to fully restore itself? I mean, Link trashed the damn thing and it's only been recovering for one hundred years. That's barely a single generation later. In most other games, the Master Sword has sat in it's pedestal for so long between uses that it's location and very existence falls into legend and folklore again. It makes me think that it just takes a really long time to recharge, and the fact that it's so fiddly in BotW is that it hasn't fully recovered between uses.

Keep in mind that the triforce had to actually be put back in the place it was created, the sacred realm, by the royal family some years before OoT. There were a ton of wars fought over it before then. It's not completely out of the question that it's out there somewhere instead of the sacred realm.

I do think that if this were another Zelda game so to speak, Link would have collected the pendants or macguffins to pull the master sword then go power it up. It seems this time Link felt like there was no time for that nonsense or to do that shit a second time. So he bypassed the master sword's preventative wards and just pulled it out through sheer force of will and decided the amount of power it currently had would do the job anyway.
