Nah, it's just that Gorons have only one gender.

Fishes and Birds and Elves and Edgy Ninjas all have two genders. Gorons are unique in that they are only Gorons (gorons).

If your law forbids any male to enter the city, technically Gorons have no concept of males or females. They are just Gorons. There's probably a precedent in Gerudo's laws about them when a Goron asked, dumbfounded, what was a woman and why they would be the only one authorized to enter the city.

All the strong enemies use attacks that generate fire. Look at Guardians and Lynels. This is no coincidence. It's to help you counter them, since it gives you the updraft you need to glide and slow-mo aim at their weak point.

The Gerudo pushed back the Moldugas to the edge of the wastes, if they really wanted camels then they could have kept them. Most likely the devs just wanted more variety than reskinned horses for desert travel, and sand jetskis are way cooler.

Could have at least had them show up near oasises as game, though. Desert was lacking in wildlife, not even reskinned foxes despite being an obvious choice.

It's a damn shame, because the game is still great but an extra few months of just adding content could have made a major difference.

I appreciate the polished gameplay but the story quests needed way more work. Should've at least had a mini-dungeon for each like the Yiga hideout and every village needed the quest index that Kakariko has.

Plus all the dumb gameplay things like how broken overhealing is, no way to craft things in batches, no "tip guy" NPC for Koroks, interfaces scrolling horizontally instead of vertically, and a bunch of others. Rarely do I play a game that is so amazing yet so flawed at the same time.

I think it's got more to do with the Hylian population vastly outnumbering everything else and they're generally spread out all over the place whilst the other races mostly stick to their city. With that in mind, it makes more sense that they'd have things to sell to Hylian tourists, whereas various Hylian towns can't do the same because it isn't profitable enough to market shit to every other race when they barely visit anyway.

I'd really just advise exploring as much of the place as you can, though. It's one of the best areas in the game.

BotW is in the downfall timeline but the Sheikah triggered convergence and the other lines got swept in. I came to this conclusion based on the amount of hints for each timeline and their respectives games. While hints for each timeline exist, the downfall line games are favored and the references to them are in much more prominent spots, including the main quest. The overarching history and BotW's timeline placement are not meant to be presented to people who do not look for them. You have to look at the tropes and story elements that repeately appear in this game and the franchise to put the pieces together.

It's actually quite difficult.

The game "OoT" is actually the what-if to the previously established Downfall timeline and in further games it will be the Adult timeline. It features a Link who got cheated into coma and ends up in a somewhat better situation than he was supposed to be in. The events of the game and the access to the time stone, a time travelling device, somehow makes Link end up surviving the final battle. We do not know exactly what made the difference, but I argue that the Ocarina did it, because it unlocked Link's access to the Master Sword and the time stone. It had a big impact on Link's life and it also was the device that triggered the second split.

So, defeating Ganondorf did cause one single timeline split, with a result of the previous timeline (downfall) and the new timeline (adult). However, Zelda felt responsible for Link's destiny and wanted him to experience those 7 years the game stole from him. To achieve that, she used the game's second time travelling device, the Ocarina. We were set for the second timeline, adult, but suddenly Zelda sent Link's consciousness back in time, but not to the same time the time stone sent him during the game. It sent him to a time even before Zelda fled the castle. Together they managed to prevent Ganondorf's ambitions even before he accessed the Sacred Realm. This is an entirely new alternative to the two timelines above.

So I argue that the root of all timeline splits is the Ocarina of Time. OoT Link was supposed to die, but this miraculous item prevented it.
