While Sabo does have a great fucking special, many people seem to not realize that he's mostly used as a sub, similarly to how Doffy didn't need to benefit from the captain, so does Sabo, since he is used to counter several types of debuffs and mechanics, very commonly present in Colos. As you can see in the pic, despite the fact that Sabo isn't boosted at all, not even by ship, he still equals the amount of damage dealt by 100CC Inthawk.

Now with that said, I personally think that Sabo is only a good CC holder IF you have a team that is capable of boosting him, since the damage is boosted twice, not just once through his special. Whether it's something straightforward like TS Luffy or someone that can make very good use of him like Cavendish, Sabo really stands out in these sort of teams and CC is more than welcome.
If you don't then there's very little reason to do so as Sabo will deal more than enough normally to overcome whatever mechanic when used as a non-boosted sub.

3D2Y is the best they have aside from him and various 2.5 or conditionals, and he's only 2.25.
Kaku and Fukuro are just awful.
Kumadori is alright, Jabra is usually not needed over FN Kaku (who is a million times easier to socket/level), but is very useful when he's needed.
Blueno is outclassed by Sanji, and Khalifa is actually very good for Croc teams to have.

I actually would like Buggy over a lot of other legends, besides needing Doffy for my Croc team I can't really think of any other legends I'd really like to play with, I'm super happy with my current selection.

pretty usable. jimbe gives you full fighter orbs. figure one slot for an orb booster and one for a class / type booster and you still have one slot to play around with while having marco's 1-up. its just not QUITE as sweet as putting a 2-turn orb booster and a massive heal all on the same character

Eh. With the fact YWB will not show up outside of CoC my will to turbofarm 60 stamina raids outside of that event has really diminished. We've only got 1 skull out of 4 available on Global, yet have every 60 stamina raid bar one, that one being Shogun Franky who seems super niche as it is, so by the time all the skulls are released who's here is even going to need to farm 60 stamina raidbosses for the actual raidboss itself?
It just seems crazy wasteful to farm a raidboss you don't need anymore purely for a chance at an Ambush for once again a low CHANCE at a skull, RNG upon RNG.

Now I've thought about it, is this why Global has skipped over all the 40 stamina raids beyond Buster Call (Nightmare Luffy, Pica) in favour of giving us 60 stamina raidbosses way ahead of time? To exhaust us of our gems for wanting to max these amazing units early but just having to go back again to farm Ambushes when the skulls we need are released, not to mention that historically if my memory serves me right CoC raid selections have been absolute dogshit generally consisting of majority 40 stamina raids and catering to the new players with maybe 1 60 stamina raid amongst the bunch.
Also seeing the Ambush rate be near never on 40 stamina but almost 40-50% on 60 stamina raids (in my experience) just further reinforces my theory.

Thankfully, I have 6* Boa and Sabo to socket, so that give me a reason to wait for the release of their skulls. Well, assuming we get a CoC with Boa for Boa's skull release and the same for Sabo. It would not surprise me to not get those raid when they'll release the new skulls

I'm not sure about 40 stamina raid though. To me it seems that they planned to release NML for Halloween but all the movie content stuff mess with their plan, and they probably decided to wait for next year Halloween.
For all the other raid, I'm pretty sure they just tried to follow whatever was release at the same time. We've got Boa between Amazon Lily and Impel Down, which story wise would be a good moment to put a raid Boa.

Then we have Kizaru and Akainu, release for Sabaody island iirc and Marineford Event.
Sabo is the one I don't really know where to put? Maybe to match with the end of the Marineford Event?

For Pica, there's two option : Either they release it at the end of this month, with Sabaody Story part 2 + TS Zoro (Like 99% sure we'll get those two at the end of the month). This way Zoro is released with Pica.
Or they postponed it until we get to Dressrosa. (So April = Sabaody, May = Fishman, June = Punk Hazard, July = Dressrosa).
With this schedule, we'll probably get Shogun Franky during the Fishman Island, so next month.
With that, there's only Magellan left to put somewhere, this month maybe? There's no particular time when he could be release since we already pass Impel Down.

I recall seeing it said here that, during the Easter one-a-day island where you recruit Straw Hats, if you don't get a particular Straw Hat to drop (e.g. Usopp), you can quit and try again. Am I remembering that right, and is that the case? I'm new and really want to take any opportunity I can to get skill ups for my GPU.

It WAS great until I socketed 2 G3's and 2.5 GPU's and 1 Impact Usopp off it. Socketing that many 2 socket units in one fortnight during 1/2 stamina was the single most frustrating thing I've ever done in a game, to the point where at the end of it my mind was all gooey and hazy and I didn't want to play for weeks and had barely any drive to play again up until just before Anni.

Now I'm finally loving the game again and I don't want to ruin that by dipping into a fortnight I've already absolutely exhausted, I even maxed every unit that has a book (like Bepo and Wapol who needs like 10billion skillups) outside of skill up while farming that shit.

I'm just super thankful that we're getting Usopp'n in under a week because Usopp sockets are scarce as fuck otherwise, at least Luffy has other options even if we never get Nightmare Luffy for whatever reason.

I definitely see what you're saying. Global has had a very 'in time with the storyline' release schedule feel about it the last couple of months, though getting TS Luffy at the end of the Marineford Anniversary event was a bit random when it really should have been legAkainu if we're following that theory.
That said it doesn't seem like a mistake we've been getting what would be considered the hardest content in the game even now on Japan on Global way ahead of time when there has been content more in line with where we 'should' be strength wise. Global has been playing catch up for fucking ages even changing units (HW Robin) because of status affects that aren't in the game yet or explaining that 'hey there's going to be this status affect in a future patch, so don't freak out when you pull this character and have no use for them'.

I just hope Global Bamco get off their fetish with releasing shit based around the story now that we're past Anniversary and bring it more in line with where the GAME should be. If we get Shogun Franky before the other two 40 stamina raids we should have had months ago I'll be so annoyed.

About CoC being dogshit: you are correct. Nearly every single time it comes by, at least 2 or 3 of the raids are ones that everybody finished ages ago. The best CoC was the game's first new year's event where we had Doffy premiere at half stam, iirc.
Hell, even on the anniversary they completely fucked us with the 3 most worthless raids to veterans with the sunny ship, and made boa appear the day AFTER it ended.
People have said it before, but whoever plans the events for global definitely doesn't play the game at all, or give a shit. Or both.

Consider the following:
Legends are the one unit you will use the most, in as many teams as they fit, period. Either because they're just really good because of their naturally high stats and sockets or because it's cool to brag. By candying a legend first and foremost, you're potentially increasing your damage by a lot the more candied legends you have, since they will tend to stack on the same teams.
Meanwhile Sabo, while great, is still a situational sub, and not a core addition on every team.
