By Gandeva you mean the 11* fire chip right? It's not bad, not every chip in your loadout is going to be a 12*. Yamigarasu is still very good since it's strong and works on every element, though nowadays you only want to use her on a dark loadout if at all. Yamigarasu is too expensive to justify using yourself, it's better to fill your friend's list with them.

There isn't really a "good enough" for es until you can 1 pass an XH boss, or at the very least 2 pass them. You're going to need extremely good element specific loadouts to do that, something you can't get by rolling a bunch of characters until you get lucky.

No you didn't get the name wrong, I did by saying 11*. It's still not a bad chip, the effect is pretty strong, I've had the chance to try it in game as well from friend partners to verify. There's just much better things to put in the 12* slot nowadays, if I rolled a Gandeva myself I wouldn't be able to use it. If you're at this point you take what you can get though. 1 passing XH bosses requires Facet or Nabarta for the most part, though it's still very difficult and you almost need an OP med attack bonus unless your setup is godly. 2 passing is much much easier, I can do it to 4 elements, maybe 5 but I haven't played during a Wind weak EQ for a very long time so I'm not 100% sure if I can. I've been playing for over a year though and I've had above average chip luck so my experience isn't representative.

Just give up on es imo, I only play because I can make money off EQs and to get the all class 13*.

The optimal loser fight is to break left arm > break left shoulder and then wait and let him sit there with neck exposed. Then you do the same for right arm followed by mirage on his chest which breaks it open. For the rest of the fight his weak spot will be exposed now. Alternatively, what happens in every pub that has gaijin in it (I'm not joking, it's near 1:1 that eng names will break neck and JP names will sit on the side) is that people break his neck which pushes him to red phase. You can't break his shoulder in this phase and his arm armor will keep regenerating every time you break it unless he decides to play nice and go back to green phase. From this point on, it's typical for his chest weak point to never end up exposed and he spends most of the fight in red phase. It turns a 2 minute fight into a 10 minute fight.

If you want cheap you should play Ranger or Gunner, those are probably the easiest to gear up.

Bow is relatively expensive to gear, but if you want to there is nothing wrong with it, you'll get your stuff sooner or later.

Thing with bow is you absolutely need a couple utility weapons to do proper damage at endgame and that can get pretty expensive. You will want both an Orbit weapon (preferably the bow) and a Divine Raikou both with their potentials fully unlocked and some basic PP affixes on them, which will easily cost between 20-30m before you even get to the gear you will use to actually deal damage. Bow also has a straight up PP requirement, you need at least 190 PP to do a proper Banishing Arrow burst which is your primary source of damage. You can't just do some basic entry level 90/6 affix on your units like on other classes and be perfectly fine to start out. The entry barrier to do good damage is pretty steep, it's fun to play though

It is unless you have a full party with properly candied popples, in which case SHAQ is better. I also don't think it needs to be urban anymore since the only reason for that was fire weakness and easy weakpoints for Ra/Il Foie, which popple doesn't care about. There might be a better AQ to run now but I haven't really looked into it. The criteria would be good exit tiles and lots of possible rare enemies.

Only because Sega handled balancing by just placing bandaids over issues instead of rolling up their sleeves and getting their hands dirty to fix the actual issues.

They had to hire an entire play-testing team to fix the fucking mess Kimura left at the end of EP2, it doesn't surprise me in the slightest that they have to do it again for EP5.

Too bad to actually fix the issue would require mass retooling of several different systems all at once, which at this point is an astronomical level of work with the amount of tiny issues they let pile up.

Tweaking modifiers on dozens of class skills, PA numbers, enemy HP, and I would say retool the affixing system to be less of a fuckin spreadsheet simulator but seeing the potentials on the deus weapons I doubt they have any plans for that.

It's just hilarious that this was seriously the best fucking idea they could come up with.

The candy box is the one mechanic from Summoner I would have liked to have seen implemented into other systems. You could even go far enough to make the candy equivalents sellable on the market to keep the meseta rolling. Part of the reason for the power-creep is because of the fact that with enough time trying to awkward work around the needlessly obtuse affixing system can enable you to gain an absurdly higher level of power over someone who just can't figure it out. Simplifying the system, while would absolutely deliver a blow to the affixers market, would make it easier for everyone to create a more even playing field. I would gladly trade the meseta potential in the current system to make this aspect of the game easier for everyone.

The extra team they hired in 2013 was for bug testing, not balancing issues, i.e. catching things like the HDD wipe bug.

What they did in regards to balancing was reorganize the team: Gunner and Braver leaping ahead of everyone there was the result of separate teams working independently on each simultaneously, and more importantly, not collaboratively.

Bow Br is in like a grey area with how hard it is to get into but the class still functions without divine raikou and the like. Fighter on the other hand is hard enough for casuals to use that I doubt they'd want to do much to them. Of course this is Sega so inb4 I wasted all of my money gearing Fi only for them to destroy the class.

IMO the most likely outcome is they just buff everyone again like they did early in ep 4's life like the patch where hunter got all those buffs. If anything Force might actually get buffed since I can't imagine the T-atk playerbase is that healthy. A single melee class was already more popular than Te and Fo put together pre ep4. I can't imagine the ratio is any better now that Summoner is here.
