realistically speaking, the only way to save SFV is to "let it die" while focusing work on a complete system mechanics and animation overhaul, then re-release a Super version or whatever.

Capcom is no stranger to going back on claims, given they had no plans to make a G-Rank version of Monster Hunter X but ended up doing so anyway.

I've noticed a pattern with the newer SFV DLC characters is that they're fun to play, compared to the rest of the roster which really isn't. Compare Ryu who is basically still his SF2/SF4 counterpart, to Urien who retains basically all his moves and combos from SF3.

They need to spend time updating the original roster to make them as fun and complex to play as the DLC characters have been, taking obvious notes from games like SF3 when needed.

It's quite retarded that Ryu got 1 new move in the form of the donkey kick in 1999 and has never had it again outside of like Tatsunoko vs Capcom. The nigger definitely needs that shit back.

Also game needs multiple supers like SSF4 or SF3. There needs to be flavor and variety and options in the game.

I love multiple supers. In fact I loved SF4's ultra combo double concept. And I hope the do the same to V-skills and supers in SFV.

In fact this is my ideal scenario for V

but for whatever reason, it seem like every Esport developer seems to go with balance over fun and for the life of me, I don't understand why. A naturally fun game (ie rocket league) will always pick up players if the game is fun. If the game is fun enough, a competitive scene will always come out of it.
