Tracer is their gay mascot on the box. After that, they have free range to do what they like. Yeah maybe I am giving the """lore""" too much credit for something like that to be a somewhat of a major plot point but on the other hand Chu likes Reaper76 and wants the relationship between Ana, Gabe, and Jack to be "complex", so who knows. It would certainly work. Overwatch isn't really made to appeal to the edgy kiddies anyway, its supposed to be an optimistic future with fun and super heroes. Reaper and 76 are edgy in an ironic and overdone fashion.

Reaper has already been made fun of in the canon lore. Sombra's short as the biggest culprit. But that aside, I never implied that the big 3 are taking what happened to Gabe lightly. The whole point is that they are likely the only 2 people left who give any sort of a damn about him.

In fact I don't know why you are going off on this. The point was that if Reaper is fucking S76, canonically, it would piss off the edgy tweens that think Reaper is unironically edgy. My point being is that Reaper was never meant to be a real edge man, just a caricature of the trope. Meaning, they can take liberties with his character. Make him a good guy in his past. Give him some human like qualities like love, hobbies, and quirks to make his transformation into Reaper all the more depressing. Play her agressive like D.Va without the jumpjets. Shield your team, not YOU. Shoot slower targets, and pull important DPS out of position. Pull that widow off the ledge, pull rein out of place, pull a flanker into a bad place forcing them to re-position.

When you reload your gun, look at your ammo count and genuinely ask "did I really need to reload then?". A lot of times people are reloading when they don't need to and should be shooting instead.

Sometimes use fortify to draw fire from the barrier so team mates can shoot from behind it.

Reaper is in blind anger. I believe the point is that everything was taken from him even his ability to live. So if Winston is an extension of Overwatch he blames him too. Also, Overwatch takes a lot of liberties. Everyone is over the top and has done insane, bizarre, or immoral things. I mean, have you seen all the notches on Ana's rifle? She thinks she's a monster for the all the lives she's taken, so does that excuse her for being a good person despite it? And with Reyes, was the scandal about Blackwatch his fault? They could easily push in that he was set up to take the fall because there is no little known about the incident.

That's unfortunately how they are writing Reaper (not reyes). I can't think of any motivation that would give Reaper reason to kill Winston without making it that Reaper is just being evil. If you can think of one tell me, because otherwise I can only think of him as a black and white character.

I personally think that Reaper was conceived first and his backstory afterwards. Now they are stuck with trying to make the two match, which they won't unless they move the story forward and ignore it.

how do I train/improve close range tracking? it's clearly my greatest weakness. If any enemies get close I can't aim to save my life. My targeting will both overshoot and undershoot, tracking is jerky, reaction times are slow, and I often just lose track of them completely.

After a close range fight, I can only remember a series of frames from it, like my brain doesn't process it as motion. How the fuck do I fix that?

Again, considering the time span involved it does not seem that much work. we are talking about months here. And the majority of the time is spent for maps with them just being gray blocks, so he plenty of time to think up something while the level is hashed out.

The cinematics are a different thing, but the majority of the time spent there is animating, he does have to rush to make the storyboard happen, but once that's done the animators take over.

Again, it seems to be work in bursts. I would believe he is working more often if we saw any hints of planning like some foreshadowing, but so far we got nothing. He seems to do everything only when he needs to, instead of being proactive.

I used to feel the same. I spent a lot of time with Hanzo and got pretty decent with tracing, leading and flicking. It really translated well to hitscans like Soldier, Tracer and McCree. I've gotten a lot of nice direct Helix Rockets for Hanzo too because of that, which felt like a plus.

yup but at some point you just got to force yourself to move your entire arm. it takes like three games and you're used to it. I started with ludicrously high sens and now I'm at 750 DPI 6 sens which is pretty much 30 cm per 360°. that's low enough in my opinion.

Well for one it's better for your wrist healthwise, and it helps with tracking. I played a good scout and soldier in TF2, so I only ever used my wrist and hit flickshots but those skills don't carry over to Tracer for example. In the end, I just use a hybrid of wrist and arm: wrist for mid and far; arm for upclose.
