That's from when I was comparing the sizes of bosses, so he was just modelswapped in. Midir actually has two models, one for when he's flying around and one for when he's a boss, so there may be some visual differences between, such as the flying one having less detail because it's not meant to be seen up close.

There should be a special covenant for people who use the call over gesture.

Sadly, the UGS doesn't seem to be able to trigger the healing effect on a single target without running dry on stamina first. 4 L1s hit 10 times but still isn't enough. I don't know if you can squeeze a 5th L1 in at 40END but I doubt it would make a difference because I'm pretty sure the left heal effect stack ticks down between attacks because the gap is too long.

It doesn't feel like all of them have a quantifiable stamina allotment, they'll attack and attack and attack and sometimes, they're not even attacking me, the player. They freak out constantly.

Most prevalent in the early game enemies, sometimes they'll start strafing you. But it's not to simulate real-time combat (Dragonslayer's Armor will do the same thing, and it looks much more akin to a pensive and thoughtful opponent) it's just them going crazy, because they'll either end up circling you forever or running straight out of range, before clipping back into range and attacking you then.

I just got killed by a bunch of Followers and I set and watched them as I dissipated, and they continued to attack unceasingly, and as they did, the way their bodies moved made them seem like rag dolls.

Like a lot of things in Souls, it's a lot simpler than most are going to make it.

Dragons ruled the world, Gwyn wanted to change that, so he did.

The pygmies and their would-be Ringed Knights apparently carried the living shit out of the dragon war, using the Abyss to bolster their army way beyond the capabilities of any other Great Soul's, and it wasn't like they had any trouble channeling things like Gwyn's lightning. Even in the Ringed City in DS3, with Gwyn long dead, there's plenty of "humans"/pygmies using lightning to stake you.

This scared the shit out of Gwyn, as his rule was the singular most important thing to him, and his rule WAS the Age of Fire. The entire setup for DS3 is elaborating on the lengths Gwyn has gone to just to make sure his shitty little Age is can still be going strong even without him.

He knew the Pygmies, their Dark, their Abyss, was more than capable of overthrowing his rule. He locked the ones with the majority of the Dark Soul over in the Ringed City, and let the 1% remain in the world to become a hamster in a wheel for the cycle and the Age of Fire. A main component of this was that men's ability to harness the power of Dark and Abyss could be severely limited through the use of Fire/the Darksign, otherwise Gwyn probably would've been fucked from the start.

Then he basically said they didn't exist and threw away the key, to make sure pic related never happened.

Too bad Gael is one tenacious motherfucker.

I'd also switch up that gear, full deus vult cath armor is cool but I'd recommend getting creighton's chainmail and using the cath helm and then whatever else you want for full templar.

As a DaS II hexer, they require far too any stats to use well. You end up, going for 120 a least, with only 3 extra points for weapon reqs if you go 30 vigor, 30 attunement, 30 endurance, 40 intelligence, and 40 faith. As a full on sorcerer or cleric, you have more points for weapons and whatever else. My sorceress is gonna have 40 attunement, while still at 30 vigor and endurance, and 50 intelligence.
All in all, they're super fucking disappointing as even with this need for more stats, they're mediocre compared to regular sorcery. Especially since, to use everything, you need three fucking mediums for casting; staff, talisman/chime, and flame.

Demons are literally stone animated by dark-burning fire. Their only real weakness is raw physical force, such that would smash rock. Their explicit ingame weakness has always been a vulnerability to high poise damage attacks. Even the Demon Prince gets staggered for a riposte in only a few hits of a BKGA.

Does Wolf Knight GS do more damage to anything, especially bosses, in DLC2?

I'm just wondering since I was having a shitty time trying to beat midir with a ringed knight spear on my 40/40 build so I said fuck it and switched to the only GS I have slab'd, the WKGS. Immediately ended up wrecking him (pic related), and today I fought gael who I heard people like Oroboro died to like 50 times and beat him on the 3rd try (basically once I got used to his moveset). On NG+1 btw.

I will never understand why From can't balance things. All "mage" light armor has no defense. It's can be easely solved by buffing all sorcery, pyro, miracles damage by 15%/12% and making boost rings not stack. Now all casters have two ring slots so they can wear light armor and steel protection ring.

How do I gitgud with spears, or are they now the worst class to play with? I swear I'm getting hit farther by people with Great Hammer, and Onyx Blades.
I really don't see any range advantage and pokey pokey is like so easy to dodge. :( I like spears in general but they all seem so weak, unless I manage to get this 700hp combo that's so slow that you can easily roll away instead of trading. Hell aren't normal GS R1 as fast as Spears, with decent range and HA, and those Gael Guys even get L2 R2 off it.
