You can do it yourself much cheaper at home, like most meals. Dropping $20+ on a single meal per person is fairly decadent. Steak places are really a roll of the dice too, unless you go super high end. I really liked Tann. I felt like he was just trying to make the best of a truly horrendous situation that no one was prepared for. When the plan goes belly up in a live fire scenario (or in our case, after thawing out in a new galaxy) you need to have someone take command.

That someone just happened to be Tann, he admits he isn't the most charismatic guy, but he is the one willing to perform the role. The Initiative and the Nexus in general have no need of a ruling "council" as demonstrated by the lack of their ability to get anything done prior to your arrival.

If you back Tann, and support him, he'll support you, and the Initiative/Nexus ends up stronger for it. At the end of the day when the stakes are as high as "If this effort doesn't work, we all die", I want an efficient leader, I don't care if he is super friendly or charismatic.

Maybe 100 years down the line once everything is established in earnest and the Intiative/Nexus' safety is assured, they can try to do a Citadel Council-like system of rule. For now though, necessity dictates that we fall in line behind Tann. I respect the hell out of Tann for being able to deal with all that pressure (and the constant shit-talking by his coworkers, considering how much Kesh supposedly hates drama, she sure likes to shit-talk about people behind their backs).

For me personally, it goes Tann > Kandros > Kesh > Addison when it comes to how interesting the characters of Nexus Command are.

I just can't justify in my head, a pathfinder finally showing up after months, only to throw the whole chain of command in turmoil because you personally don't really like the personality of the guy in charge.

Unless they make Tann pull some Udina-esque shit in later installments, I think I'll continue to support him for the greater good.

Yeah I guess, but Shepard's brain wasn't directly interfaced with an AI and TIM said it was his goal to bring Shepard back exactly how he was. Ryder literally died and was brought back by SAM alone. I remember first thinking about this during the little cut scene we got after Ryder falls unconscious on Habitat 7. It shows the neurons in his brain decaying and dying, suddenly SAM using his magic AI powers, heals the neurons, but also visually alters them. Just thinking that Ryder may actually be dead or maybe his mind has been reformed into some kind of AI organic hybrid state. BioWare fucked up with Shepard not batting an eyelash over his own death, I feel like this has enormous narrative potential.

Was mostly referring to this picture, if this gravitational waves are what causes planets to orbit around "heavy" objects like the planets our sun, the galaxies our galactic core etc.

How exactly are they anchored to x range orbit and not get closer

Like if you go close to a black hole you ll get closer to it whenever you want it or not, but something different happens with a specific range which causes orbit instead of coming closer in circles

You can tell they started from the point of "We want a Krogan on the team" and not "Hey we designed a really interesting character who just happens to be a Krogan, we should put him on the team".

He is still one of the better companions in Andromeda, but that isn't really a very high bar...

It'll be awesome when every character is directly related by blood to some character we know from the original games, that should give both galaxies a real feeling of scope and depth.

I didn't say he had no purpose, just that I don't think he was as well-done as Wrex or Grunt. I still like him plenty.

I wouldn't say he and Wrex are the same, either. They're different characters, just both are older Krogan. Grunt and Drack were written to fulfill the role of having a Krogan party member whereas Wrex came first and got to be more of his own person. I thought Grunt's story was more interesting than Drack's ergo Drack is worst party Krogan.

But you can get mad about it if you like.
