You lose so much of the experience if you fast travel. It feels so much more immersive traveling by your own. Often the road takes you through a new village or you discover something interesting by chance. It feels more organic that way. It also gives a good excuse for doing side stuff. In this case it's a choice between two evils, one of which is literally referred to as Evil incarnate. Olgierd fucked up a lot, he was blinded by his selfish love and made some really bad decisions which led to the deaths of everyone he loved. But if you save him he shows remorse and there's hope that he's learned from his mistakes. O'Dimm is a devil and he's going around causing shit just for his own entertainment. You can say he's technically doing nothing wrong but he's still causing a lot of misery because he wants to consume human souls. There are reasons for siding with either of them so I don't really have a problem with those choices.

In fairness the game does give you quite a few opportunities to deliver punishment even outside of monster cases, like with all the witchers who have done something wrong, so I can see where the notion comes from. Sometimes that does affect me too, but other times I have no problem with it. In TW2 I killed Cynthia without thinking twice. If Syanna died I couldn't care less, but I couldn't pass on playing Gwent, so she got the ribbon. Anna definitely doesn't deserve to die imo and her wanting to spare her sister is completely understandable.

I went the full witcher way, came here for the job and i don't care to talk with her or about her feelings.So i went to slay the beast in the simplest way i could without getting the contract in danger by getting Syanna, so i went to the Elder so he can summon the beast and i can slay him.Sure i tried to convince him to stop the attacks first and try to spare him only because of Regis.But when it didn't work i just did my job.

Geralt is an autistic moralfag white knight but still a witcher so I think from his perspective all the choices are valid, just depends on which approach you take. Yours makes sense, on the other hand I trusted Regis and he was against going to the Elder so I went to the fairy tale land instead.

My main issue isn't actually with the choices but rather with the writing itself. The "happy" ending just felt too forced and unrealistic, like a bioware style happily ever after, which is why I didn't like it.

in white orchard the peasant that delivers rotten grain to the nilfgaardian gets 15 lashes as punishment

i only counted 14 at first so i had to reload to make sure he's actually getting all 15

Staying faithful to Triss in TW1 requires much effort. You have to fail Shani's quest, the quests with those vampire girls, avoid countless women throwing themselves at Geralt...but my Geralt would never cheat on her. She doesn't mind though.

I'm playing BaW and there's this one quest called Wine Wars.

The thing is I went to the place the quest sent me but when I got there two people were fighting over something, When the guy (Liam) asked me to help I chose the option to exit the conversation without committing to anything, because I wanted to hear the other side of the story, then the girl involved in the fight (Matialda) also asked me for my help and I also didn't accept.
Now I can't find the quest in my journal and don't know how to start it. Did I miss it? Is there any way to go back?

If it helps I'm in the "Capture the Castle" quest in the main story (didn't start it yet).

Every time I see "an Craite" I instinctively pronounce it "awn crawt-chya" because I'm Irish and it bugs me every time.

For the curious "Crach" is an archaic form of "Creach" which means "robbery" and "Cráite" means a whole bunch of things from annoying/appalled/biting/percing/tormented.

The use of Irish in the games is kind of fun. There's an elf who's last name is supposed to be "Wolf Lord" in Irish but it's spelled wrong in-game and the meaning changes to "Meat Lord".

You should be able to return to the same place and accept the contract. That quest has you doing random question marks, so even if you don't accept anything, doing some of the question marks involved and coming up with leads should get the quest prompted I think.

Also, accept both of their propositions and complete all the tasks they give you in order to get to the real culprit.

Another thing, when you start Capture the Castle, some of the quests will become temporarily unavailable until you complete the main story(if you haven't done Warble of a Smitten Knight do it before your current quest, because it will fail permanently)

I've used Cat armor+Bear Swords up to BnW, now I switched to Manticore armor and relic swords. Loving Manticore both aestetically and functionally.

I use ursine when fighting the Wild Hunt, becase it looks warm enough, casually used master wolf up until i got manticote (i dont like looks of grandmaster wolf), manticore ever since - i only used grandmaster cat for long night and Detlaff fight.

I don't know, I never picked the other dialogue option in all my 8 playthroughs. I think Geralt goes either way, just the dialogue is different. But that look Triss gives him...I wouldn't miss it for anything.
