For everyone still sperging out over affixes, 90atk nowadays is in the realm of 2.5% damage. If you play Fi and this lets you sit in LB 24/7, it's probably worth it sacrificing attack for defense. If this specific scenario is not the case, consider affixing more atk over health.

A single piece of Whitill has nearly 100 less defense than Izane, let alone the resistances and health. The Flash Guard build assumes you have a sizeable amount of survivability already either through astral soul, izane units, or both. It's like a piece of a bigger puzzle, you need all the pieces for it to come together.

Personally I run 120/16 Izane units with astral soul. Now that level 80 is available you can put even more points into flash guard if you want, though personally I think that's overkill. The amount of things you can survive is incredible, especially when combined with massive hunter + fornis TDs. You don't really have an excuse to not press LB once it comes off cooldown unless you're saving it for a burst phase.

Probably not, Gigrants is a pretty niche tech. You generally only use it in situations where you really want the hitbox in places where it can 1-2 shot things (solo XQ) or in places where Gigrants can kill one wave and then hit the next wave of spawns.

You need 13* that are only available from XH EQs, you need seasonal 12* chips, you need to be able to do multiple elements since XH bosses can have one of three weaknesses, etc. Getting into es nowadays is pure suffering and I advise against it.

I'm new to PSO2es in the sense that I've never bothered to learn all the details on how damage works. While can't come even close to melting the XH bosses in one run, I can take a good 30-45% if it's a lightning-weak machine.

I've just never put any though or care on how to build the loadouts. I usually get 250 element + reed units and roll out, but was wondering if it was fine to be a bit shy of max element if I can bring another chip type.

yes, there's a cf for aura rod. you use the 300 stargems to reset it 5 times. it only takes 4-5 runs of sanctum lq depending on your boosts to clear it.

Make sure you get an Orbit Rifle from the CFs right now if you don't have an Orbit Launcher yet, and even if you have one it's probably a good idea. Their potential gives you +300% passive PP Regen while your weapon is sheathed so they are pretty much required to play RA in any serious capacity, you can just throw a grenade to quickly unsheathe and be back at full PP within seconds if you have one.

Buy Austere Units and whatever 12* Legs you can get your hands on for units, RA doesn't have many essential rings so that's by far the best combo. Pretty low priority though
For weapons I'd probably just try and get whatever would be the easiest to +35 so you can enter Expert Blocks and then get Deus weapons when those come out next month, I doubt you have enough 2017 badges to spam solo PD and cap out your Ray Rifle before those CFs go away so look for alternatives. Even if you would have to invest pretty heavily to get into Expert blocks right now it's probably worth to do as soon as possible so you can start clearing the current Tower Defense VR EQ for Orbit weapons, doing those on non-Expert blocks is going to be nigh on impossible.

The easiest/fastest way is to spam Aura or Revolutio CFs and if you are in a rush resetting the CF cooldown using SG. You can knock them out pretty quickly and Aura are technically the best weapons in the game if you can be arsed to get them to 8s so it's not like it's something you will never ever use.
You are much better off saving those 2017 Badges for Solo PD Triggers, trying to just quickly knock out 1200 badges for a weapon you won't even really be using isn't a thing when you only get 7(?) per run on XH, that's like 30-40h of work
