People seem to be giving less of a shit about competitive this season and goofing around or actively ruining games. As a support player it's costing me a lot of SR to put my faith in others to do their best and I'm getting nothing back. It's doubly disappointing because my stats are improving but my rating is falling because so many games are thrown away by shit like stubborn sniper pickers and the like.

as i said the "winstreaks" arent a mechanic in itself but are a result of how the matchmaker operates. if your hidden MMR is relatively higher than your actual SR the matchmaker will give you more SR per win (and vice versa if its lower and you lose, you lose more SR). your MMR changes faster than your SR and this is why to the player its like a streak of wins gives more SR.
so yes, you keep them in between sessions because your MMR never changes when you dont play.

I keep jumping around 2000 (career high is 2380) raiting and cant climb no matter what i try.

Im 400+ lvl and playing sinse first season (was 56 during first season).
I use Pharah, Hog, Soldier, Junkrat (in choke points) but damn.
I wish i was at least on early Platinum. I do have good stats and im always having 2-3 gold medals. As Phara im killing even Soldier and Mccree so those cant counter me because i wont let them even a few seconds of rest.

Fuck this. Every day i just climb back to 2000 just to sink back to 1940 and then again climb to 2000 next day again.
This is just depressive.
PS:
Was playing Zenyatta during winter previous season and it was even more pathetic. I was having highest killstreaks and medals while we had Soldier/Pharah/other dps. I almost went down to Bronze on Zen but quickly changed to Soldier and went back to 2000.

Last season i just got the game and i was placed low silver, and just stayed there playing like shit.
By the end of the season i started to look up what characters go well in which situations, which routes work best for different team comps, general gamesense.
