They can try and message you. That's the most direct way. You really can show a lot through gestures too. They did it in a pretty interesting way. They started spamming Hello and calling me over. Since I was invading but didn't really want to get ganked I decided to unequip my weapons. He dropped the dragon torso stone, and then using the point forward gesture, made me watch his summons. They equipped untrue dark ring, and then one of them curled into a ball next to the bonfire (halfway fortress). The other one then ran over to the corner there next to the little cliff by the stairs in the halfway fortress, where there is osme taller grass. He then lay down in the grass, becoming basically invisible. I've used that spot to hide from invaders when I'm too lazy to fight at lower levels, but I realized they were demonstrating that they were hiding. The host then called everyone back, and then point for us to go and hide. There were no enemies, even the crabs were dead. The winner would get a siegbrau as a reward. Was fucking genius and a load of fun.

Another encounter was seeing three hollows wearing black leather set squatting. One had no hat but no hair, another had pharis' had, and another had thief hood. They had russian names started taunting me with the call gesture. I eventually came up, they started spamming a food item, and one of them then dropped a siegbrau for me. They then surrounded me, pulled out bandit daggers, and started spamming block button until I took it and ate in, when they then all did the "Joy" gesture. They then all pulled out caestus and went punch crazy on me

It follows a similar design too.
There are 3 areas in the DLCs. Hunter's Nightmare, Research Hall, and Fishing Hamlet in Bloodborne, and Ariamis, Dreg Heap, and Ringed City in Dark Souls 3. Hunter's Nightmare would likely have been our DLC1. There's much more content in Hunter's Nightmare than either Research Hall or Fishing Hamlet on their own. Plus, Hunter's Nightmare has the twisted design, while Research Hall and Fishing Hamlet don't seem like part of the nightmare, considering every other nightmare location has really twisted geometry. This is kind of inverted in Dark Souls 3. The 3 DLC areas are continuous, however the first has a completely different design philosophy, with it being relatively similar to the majority of the game, while Dreg Heap and Ringed City have a really weird warped geometry. Ariamis has more content than Dreg Heap or Ringed City on their own. The plot of the DLC is also connected, however Hunter's Nightmare and Painted World of Ariamis stand on their own much better, compared to Dreg Heap and Ringed City, or Research Hall and Fishing Hamlet, which wouldn't function as well as a standalone DLC.

True. Ludwig is never going to be reproduced. As a general, Humanoid bosses are much better designed. While Bloodborne did a better job or portraying beast bosses, they were never the better ones. The best Bloodborne bosses are often cited as Gehrman or Gascoigne, the humanoid ones, and Gascoigne's second phase isn't nearly as fun as the first. The reason I think that Ludwig has a different design philosophy over any other beast boss. Instead of just being a "big monstrous beast", he still has some of his sanity left, and he is designed as such. He is designed like he is a human, despite not being one, and so they are not only trying to portray his beastlike nature, but the person that is or was Ludwig.

Basically it's just he's designed to be humanoid despite being a beast. They use the monstrous design in combination with the humanoid design of making him seem like a skilled fighter, plus having a personality. It has the creative design of a monstrous boss, and the personality and fluidity of a humanoid boss. It's literally perfect design.

NG+ pyro at SL 120. They don't have a lot of attacks and have large openings, it takes time but if you just keep running away and poking them whenever they're open it's pretty easy. I found it easier to get the version of the prince with the laser.

So I've reached the part where the dragon is just waiting at the far end of some stone bridge. I assume he roasts the ever living shit out of everything on it. Just wondering if there's more to play in the swamp before I go that way. No, you have to unlock the ladder near the Ringed City Streets bonfire. It's on that wall that says "Show your humanity". You have to go just slightly below the stairs, right into the swamp muck, use White Branch, and then as a Humanity Sprite come up to that wall with the "Show your humanity" where it lowers down the ladder, that leads to a place you can't access otherwise. From there on, you'll find the Purging Monument. You can't miss it.
