Anyone pick up any Sable Church lore? After Friede I expected more.

I think the game could be improved if Lothric Castle wasn't so high up, and if the banner area after vordt connected up to that long bridge that leads to the undead settlement

then you have the choice of being taxied to the undead settlement, or you could have a go at the stray demon to continue
(and you'd treat the stray demon as an actual boss fight)
this way you could skip straight into the farron swamp if you wanted to

Even at 40/40 sharp is only 3 points behind refined, and adding 4 dex and removing 7 str from the sharp version puts it ahead of refined even there of all places, so it's definitely more AR per point sharp even in that range. I'm not saying you shouldn't overlevel it but it definitely isn't necessary to make sharp worth it.

Anon I think that what you're trying to say is that the strength of fire is what keeps Death working properly, which is something that we've always known.

Furthermore, the Ringed Knight dialogue doesn't say that the Gods placed their seal on the whole of humanity because of Abyss weapons, just those weapons' wielders. Hence the fire on their armor.

just finished dlc, SL120, my list of deaths:
- falling to death at beginning (crumbling bridge), unavoidable
- killed by the angel, didn't know its rate of fire increased greatly after second volley
- died twice in swamps to angels again
- one death at demon prince, one shotted by charging attack while hoping to hide behind the structures
- one shotted by archer spam at the passage with giant summoner
- one death to ringed knights (pulled 2 and some other dudes at the same time by accident)
- ~6 deaths to Midir, until i finally figured out when i can reliably hit its head and how to dodge the 2 swipe + breath down combo
- ~2 deaths at the church of spear to laggers/cheaters, 3rd time i got some katana fag who attacked into perseverance and got 2 shotted with BKS
Midir seems like a true boss of this expansion, Gael doesn't hit too hard and is very easy to dodge and hit as well, rather disappointing fight

The Darksign on their armor, you mean. There's a reason their "seal of fire" is a literal fucking Darksign. The seal of fire holds back the Dark, but recedes in a circular fashion as the fire fades. Death is not even real. It's a construct created by Fire. The Darksign, it's the appearance of the hole pushing back the Ring of Fire, everything outside of that ring of Fire is still basically under the Fire illusion. The combination of the Dark Sigil in the center and the ring of fire on the borders is what is collectively known as the Darksign. As the Age of Fire wanes, the illusion starts to disappear, and seals that were held in place by the strength of the flame start to weaken.

So it turns out the humanity blob on the Harald Legion isn't handled by a SpEffect at all. It's just a passive, permanent VFX on the model. So that further confirms that the SpEffect is or was meant for the player, on top of it already being pretty much confirmed by being grouped with other player-specific SpEffects.

Did anyone figure out how to get it legitimately while I wasn't paying attention or is this still something of a mystery?

I think they should have added frost as a magic type to DaS3 so it wouldn't feel like an afterthought like it is now.

It could have scaled similar to pyromancy, but mostly favored to INT, or maybe also change pyromancy to favor FTH more with scaling to act like a counterbalance.

Try using dried finger, worked for me when I had the same problem and I still only summoned 1 guy + gael (mostly because I'm on NG+ and didn't give a fuck, just want to get to the new DLC I've already beaten friede several times even at SL35).

On another note, holy fuck the demon prince fight as my first fight was INSANE, took me a couple of tries but man that was a blast. I'm spoiler free atm but if someone could just tell me the total NUMBER of bosses in the game (not anything about them), that'd be great. Wondering how many boss fights I get to have from the DLC, Demon Prince was stellar.

Is Splitleaf Greatsword as good as I think it is?

Basically a BK Glaive except with S str scaling when heavy infused and gets 549/599 AR when 1/2 handing it at 66 str, AND you can buff it too. On top of that, the Wind Wheel WA is actually quite legit, though I'm still learning how best to utilize it. I'm not really sold yet on the WA into light attack which does a double spin move, but the heavy attack that does some shaolin leap shit is definitely legit for PvP imo. I believe the lawnmower effect is great for wakeups too, and doesn't even use FP. At the very least in PvE I literally just windmill'd the shit out of the demon prince so I'd say it's quite good against any boss that does any sort of big flashy attack, you just blender them and end with a heavy attack that also does a ton more damage due to the charge up.

First weapon you get in the DLC2 but honestly I'm loving it, gonna finish the whole DLC with it. In all honesty I think it works best with a WA shield mostly because I hate the 2H double twirl shit glaives get on their R2 compared to the horizontal slash while 1H which is actually useful.

I think SL 80 is a bit too low for it, at least on the first time around. I started trying at that level, but at some point during or after the Demon Prince fight I got tired of wasting souls and started leveling again, and even with a much improved stamina and health bar Gael was still no joke. I was consistently having to wait for the stamina to recharge all through the fight.

Finished the entire thing at around 100 and I'm thinking that's the general level the entire thing is most balanced for, providing ample challenge without Ringed Knights and Gael two-shotting you which I'm sure would have happened were I still at 80.

Man that Heavy Longsword +10 only does 121 damage to Midir. My greatsword was doing 281. I died around half health (NG+2, summoned shira so I could watch her get fucked.) The co-op thing really is a problem for him, isn' t it?

So is anyone else doing shit for damage to demon prince? A friend and I are going through the dlc co-op and we cannot do any fucking damage to this guy on NG++. He's using Greatsword and I'm using greataxe

I literally just finished it a 65. I'm a really bad pve player. 80 is fine, you're just not being pacient enough and probably want to facefuck things. SL100 and over is for facefucking things.
