Different guy, but Sand Crabs have no requirements, no.

There's an island that has loads of big clusters of them together that you can afk at, but at your combat levels you might want to just stay on the mainland. There's spots there, less crabs but likely plenty enough for you.
Also, the crab island costs 10k per visit, though you can stay indefinitely.

It's more about the timing of their spawns than the damage taken.
Say there's a level 90 guy killing them in 8 seconds each, he's going to want to afk at a spot with 3-4 spawns so he constantly be in combat, and not waiting for respawns.
A lower level could just afk in a spot with 2 spawns, and by the time the second one is dead the first would have respawned.

If you feel like you can reliably kill more crabs at once by all means go for it, it's just that a higher level player might get pissy if you're in a desirable spot and barely killing them.

Alright, I'll explain it to you, OSG retard. What hes doing is slaying efficiently. People figured out that bandos' melee boost makes up for the prayer lost (if you're replacing proselyte), and since you'll most likely be praying anyways, using bandos makes it the most efficient gear to wear while doing 'efficient' slayer since you'll be hitting harder/more often.
