It gives you more 1 drops to accelerate your quest and it's a beast so you can adapt it turn 2 if it lives. It may see play.

White eyes was 5 mana. This is a 1 drop. Do the math.

Anyone else quitting after seeing this blunder of an expansion? I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt that eventually standard could become good, but we're now 3 expansions into the format and nothing is going to change in the foreseeable future. Stale metas dominated by 2 or 3 decks for 3-4 entire months with the only innovation happening the first week of an expansion's release, or during the 5 weeks of an adventure's launch.

Every card revealed so far being TGT tier doesn't help their case. I've lost all interest in continuing if this is all there will ever be, so much wasted potential. We could have had balance patches on a semi-regular basis but they've locked themselves into a model that is no different from a cardboard card game.

All of this coming from someone who has nearly 15,000 played games and legend every season sans the previous 2 months.

I know it's been said a million times but I genuinely think this is going to be the expac to make or break Hearthstone. We are losing the biggest chunk of content with BRM, TGT, and League of Explorers, so we're actually going to see a big shift for once, since both Whispers and MSoG piggybacked heavily on alot of cards from these sets, so we'll finally get to see if the game can stand up on it's own without those cards.

I think the games toast for alot of people if UnGoro fails though. Even casuals starting to call out how shit the meta is.

Jade atm is the objectively most skill intensive deck in the entire game. Pretty sure patron and freeze are the only decks who's ever required more skill honestly, maybe early game miracle but I doubt so.

I played great deal of Jade Rogue and Shaman.

Shitting out jade after jade until the enemy has no removals is a viable tactic. What the fuck are you talking about.

Jade Rogue is not as cancer as the other two but jade shaman is one of the easiest decks to play and it's also one of the most powerful.

Even if you don't netdeck, deck creation is as simple as it gets:

Objectively the best meta. Every class had two or three tier 1 or tier 2 deck types, every class was viable and saw tournament play. Tribes werent overpowered.

Aggro,tempo,midrange,control and combo were all viable and equal in terms of strength. RNG was there in the form of Boom and Shredder but games still took skill to win thanks to most cards having solid effects.

It might actually work with the new Rogue quest since you will have a lot of low cost minions in our deck and shadowstep/ferryman/panda shenanigans will take place which means it might not be that rare to play 4 cards in one turn.

You run it with loothoarders, coldlights and prep+sprints (+any other rogue card that will sure to support this quest) Your first objective is to complete the quest so that your 1-2 drops turn into big threats (5/5 stealth with deathrattle summon 5/5, 5/5 murlock summon a 5/5 with taunt etc.) Then since the rest of your deck is low cost, if you have 4 cards you wil be probably able to play them in 1 turn.

I know card draw will be a problem but it might be adressed with the rest of the rogue cards, we don't know yet. One decent card draw and this deck may be nuts.

Completing the quest is pretty fucking hard and the reward is weak.

I had one in my secret mage deck for a bit. It's alright against priests and hunters (usually), but against everything else it's only good for drawing out removal spells and dying.

Prince Malchezaar is a much more useful 5 drop. Sometimes you get shit legendaries like Millhouse, but it's an 5 extra cards. Same 5 cost, same 4 attack, usually gets the same responses.

Fuck I don't know. Everyone is way too easy to bait. Throw down a 5/5 or higher with a counter-spell, and 9/10 people will immediately throw out a high cost removal spell like an idiot. Same if you can predict what card they might use on a turn, like Nourish for example. Throw down a Kabal Crystal Runner (-2 cost per secret used) and Effigy, they'll throw a bunch of their removal spells at it and maybe some minions too, basically a board clear early on with a free 6 cost random. Once you bait out some of the obvious removal spells, you can drop out an Arcanist and they usually concede once it hits 7/7 or 9/9 because they've gassed out.

Spell heavy mage is a little difficult to win against though, or face decks with weapons (like pirate warrior) if and when you get a bad mulligan. It's really dependent on mulligans, so if you get a bad one, you're probably fucked. If you get a good one though, it's fun mode. Kabal Crystal Runner lets you go face mage sometimes, so it catches people off-guard. Mage spells in general let you go value and control if you get a mediocre mulligan. I think the main strength is that no one ever plays against it, so they make stupid mistakes.

You need at least 10k gold to get back into the game after not playing for a year. If you quit without 10k gold you'll be so far behind you'll have to buy packs.

Reminder that the most broken card in Jade Druid is actually Feral Rage.

3 mana 4 damage removal or 8 health.

- Lets them sometimes beat aggressive decks when it should be steamrolled.
- Lets them remove key minions when Druid is meant to have the worst removal of all.
- Lets it destroy non-meme limited damage combo decks.
- Lets it survive long enough vs Control stuff like Rag/Gromm until Jades win the game.

At least they lose Mulch/Azure, so they can't just destroy/SP-down your huge threats anymore. Blizzard needs to stop printing any damage/destroy spells for Druid.

I think I was at rank 9 or 10 when I quit. Won about 10 games in a row tonight. I put two counter-spells in the deck, and two babbling books which have a tendency to give counter-spells (and other secrets). If I can get them off at the right time people tend to ragequit because it ruins their value and their turns. Two counter-spells, two effigy, two mirror, and one poly-morph for surprises late-game. Most of the decks I see online for secret mage only have one effigy, but I put another one in there because sometimes you need a secret to stay in play for a while and barrier/block are just a waste of initiative and effigy it tends to stick around for a while, or at least until it gets triggered. I almost always go face because it's easy to get out big minions early that people can't deal with, and if I burn out around 7 or 8 mana I can use fireballs/frost-bolts to close it. Turn 6 Reno fucks me in the ass though.

Completing the quest is hard thats true but it has to be because the effect is not weak at all.

Prep is not a dead draw since you want to use it with Sprint/Thistle Tea or even mimicpod. If thistle lands on a 1-2 drop and if you have one bounce card in your hand the quest is basically completed.

You will have 6 bounce cards in your deck (assuming no more bounce from new rogue cards) shadowstep/panda/ferryman. Also you can get more if your thistle or mimicpods land on them. Which means mimic/thistle is good either way if they land on a bounce card or a 1-2 drop.

Bouncing/copying a card like swashburgler/novice engineer will also produce extra cards which adds to the value.

2 loothoarders, 2 novice engineers(which can be bounced for both extra cards and quest completion), bloodmage thalnos + prep sprint/mimic pod/thistle tea is decent card draw. If it's still not enough you can add Acolyte or coldlight depending on the testing.

The good thing is all these cards will still be very effective when the quest is completed.

The rest of the deck should be minions which can benefit from the quest (or bouncing) most like:

Moroes, Jade swarmer, bilefin tidehunter, swashburgler, defias ringleader, boar(?) etc.

With a decent-perfect starting hand, you can realistically complete the quest at 5-6. If you can do that without being at the verge of death, you win against midrange and even control maybe. It might not turn out to be viable but you have to admit there IS a potential. Especially with all the unreleased cards and shifting meta.

You cant do ANYTHING against it as you lack AoE, once you lost the board you will not regain it. You will die at turn 5 or turn 6

Well you put them in your cavern deck that is how they see play. Thistle and sprint doesn't see play because they can land on expensive cards which is shit. But if you only have cheap cards they may be decent. Also prep can also be used on 5 mana quest card too for tempo.

If you have 6 bounce cards and let's say 10 cheap minions that you want to complete the quest with (like the ones I wrote in the previous post), thats 16 cards. Slightly more than 50% chance is pretty decent considering if it lands, you get to complete the quest very fast.

Guys, I have an idea for a broken mage deck, for wild.

What if we took echo mage and updated it? I know molten giants are out but couldnt we use Kabal runner instead?

Thanks to the new mage card draw, I think one could somewhat reliably get the runner out on turn 3,4 or 5. Afterwards one just has to get it duplicated or echoed and you have multiple zero mana 5/5s.

Against aggro you can get wall of taunts while protecting against board clear with an counter spell. Of course the decklist in general would need to be put updated from BRM along side with Runners.

Echo mage was a tier 1 deck once, so wouldnt it be possible to make it great again?

What if the Warrior quest reward is something like this:

5 mana 8/8, Your weapon stays active in your opponent's turns.

Which means if you have a weapon in hand and an enemy minion hits you, the minion will take the attack value of the weapon as damage (kinda like how if you trigger misdirection and your own minion attacks your face, they will take the weapon dmg).

This will NOT reduce the durability of the weapon. So even if you have a 1 attack weapon, every minion that attack your face will be damaged, which synergises with execute, sleep with the fishes and the new legendary. (not to menion it will reduce the overal effectiveness of enemy minions.) If you hold on to a gorehowl for example, even jade might struggle.

If the enemy refuses to go face and just assembles minions, then you can just brawl etc.

Of course this is too weak against weapon removal. It is just an idea anyway.

These adventures are rotating out in about two-three weeks meaning you will not be able to play the cards you get from it in the standard format anymore. Despite that it's still worth it because you will be unable to purchase them ever again, unless you buy the first wing of each now.

The other adventure Karazhan will stay in the standard format for another year so there's no rush to buy it, but generally adventures are the best use of your gold.

Yes, spending 1400 gold now will allow you to get them a lot cheaper than you would otherwise if you wanted to craft them with dust (which will be the only way to craft them) after they rotate. The cards don't disappear after the rotation: they go to a different, but less popular format.

You can still use the card, just for the wild format which includes all cards. The reason most people don't play it is because they didn't get cards that are no longer available now when they were available.

You don't get any dust for it (you only get those for Hall of Fame cards, google it) but it's worth spending 1400 gold now on the possibility of playing them in the future or hell if you have no cards whatsoever you could just play wild from the get-go instead.

For the former you can definitely get 700 gold together, for the latter you might be able to do 1400 if you do your daily quests diligently (remember to reroll 40g quests once a day) and maybe grind out 9-12 wins a day or start botting like the other anon suggested, but I'm not sure that'll give you much profit with a basic deck.
