Every character has a power crush move that is armored against highs and mids.
You can spend your rage to use a rage drive which is a powered up version of a regular move or rage art which is basically an armored super that goes into a full animation if it connects.
Bound system is replaced by screws but I don't know if it matters.

Holy shit, SFV is the first fighting game I try to not button mash. Picked up Guile because he's Stroheim from Jojo.

It took me 4 hours of grinding to do 7 of the 10 trials with him and the last few seem nigh impossible. Are these even useful besides the fight money?

Anyone who's been exposed to more technical, more dynamic fighting games will quickly pass on tekken. Other top fighters, namely Street Fighter, KoF and MK have advanced impressively in their latest installments; but the relic that is tekken just can't seem to evolve, furthermore many combos can be done simply by hitting 1-button, and the nearly "instant-kill" rage art moves are just laughably broken. Instead of a supplying a proper fighting engine, matches in T7 seem to rely heavily on "who can get their rage move off first". So many elements of the gameplay don't even require any sort of skill. In my book, slow motion over and over again also gets old very quickly. And in the end, it's more of a novelty or gimmick rather than an actual, thought-out fighting game mechanic. But hey, the casual crowd will be pleased!

If you want something a little more "button-masher-friendly," tekken might be your cup of tea.... Key word, might.

Just practice. Probably took me over a week to do kikoken on an even remotely reliable level. (still fuck it up all the time under pressure too)
Don't forget you can charge by crouching and holding back, or even do some attacks then end it by releasing the charge and doing your move.

If any of this is wrong tho someone correct me cause I'm not an expert..
Practice charging for an obscene amount of time just to get the input timing down first maybe.. as you get better at it you will eventually just be popping them off like crazy like its nothing.
