If you going to make that claim I'm going to ask you to prove it because the characters have so much space to be built upon (because of the lack of character development on certain ones) that you can inject that sort of shit into them without being ooc. That's is what character building is.

I really don't know, I don't play much McCree. But I have seen videos about how some high stats are actually inversely proportional to high rank. For example high objective time with Genji is usually representative of a lower rank. It could be like that with McCree's headshots because he certainly should be shooting barriers whenever he can't get shots.

Would Overwatch have been better off as Titan? According to Jeff, many of our current heroes are made out of pieces of individual Titan classes. For example, the "Jumper" class had both Tracer Jumper and Reaper Jumper abilities and weapons. You could customize to hold dual shotguns or dual pistols. You could mix and match abilities.

Bastion, Soldier 76, and Symmetra all came from the same class. Hanzo and Genji. Torb and Rein. etc. I think it would've been a lot harder to balance but the meta would be deeper.

A good interaction is that between Genji and Winston, it's short but it gets to the point how they know each other (very little).

I recently got OW and my friends wanted me to start playing Competitive as soon I hit 25. I didn't / don't want to, I still just wanna solidify characters I like to play more and get better, but they said playing comp would make me better more quickly. What do? These are the heroes I like playing / feel comfortable with per role:

Pharah, Sombra, McCree but I'm pretty trash at landing his shots
Defense:
Literally don't like any of them. Widow if I absolutely had to choose

She saved his life and should have worked alongside him for several years since then. They are also side by side on the Sombra chart. Then there is the letter. You can NOT say they had zero interaction. You mean you haven't seen a comic of either of them in action together. Plenty of other relationships have been built with no outside interaction besides snippets. Take Torb and Rein's friendship for example. It's the same fucking thing.

The cinematic are not on time. The comic is. Keep in mind every cinematic takes 6 months to make and the team is working on 3 at a time all the time. It's far more time consuming than the comic. Which is all the more reason the comics should come out more regularly.

All that stuff you talked about is all offscreen. I don't care how interaction is implied, what I care about is content. So in other words we have to imagine all the interactions they have, instead of him, you know, writing it? There is no fucking way to understand their relationship because we have seen shit of it. We need details, not broad strokes. It's a shit way to write character to have their development offscreen.

And yeah, I am angry that Torb and Rein's relationship is not expanded in anyway. The fact that he finds the time to be shipping instead of writing lore is what's pissing me off. He should establish the relationships between the characters who know each other before moving into any kind of romance.

And anyway we are late with comics and with the cinematic. It's been 6 months and they have said it takes 3-5 months. A person earlier mentioned that its been 140 days, the longest span that we have not had a cinematic. I agree we need more comics, but they are not churning them out at any fast pace. (I do not count filler comics like the halloween and winter).

I think's it's also that Orisa lacks synergy between her abilities. Something like, how D.VA's boost and her defense matrix allow her to get close to a enemy without damage. Her barrier and defense ability should not be used at the same time and neither feels particularly strong.

Technically the lines came out for Japanese chocolate exchange day. And in that tradition you even give chocolates to people of the opposite sex you aren't romantically involved with. It's just being polite. That is if you want to get technical with it. But with how Chu talked about them on his twitter, it's definitely moving in a romantic direction. Point being, when you consider that it's still not that bad. And its not being forced or completely out of the blue.

Right, a lot of the lore is going to keep being off screen because that's how Chu wants to tell the story. He wants one shots that reveal details as we go along. This is perfectly fine if you do it right. The problem is he is not giving out enough grab and world building to tie things together. He finally tied bastion in. That's one good thing. But more characters need to start interacting or we need to go back and do more flash backs that explain prior relationships. First Strike would have filled in a very large gap in this area but Chu values the big 3's relationship over pretty much all of them so he is likely saving them for something big. Which is also fine because its the thing with the most potential and grab but the longer he takes to come out with it the less impacting it will be.

The comic came out on time. The cinematics are not. That's fact. So I don't know why you are saying the comic was late. The comics should just come out more regularly. Chu promised an increase in lore updates so I'm giving him until mid April for another comic. There really is no excuse.

Sometimes the opposite works wonders. I sometimes switch of healer or tank to DPS if I feel like i contribute nothing. People are so used to 2-2-2 they couldn't wrap their minds around the possiblity of different playstyles.

I can guarantee that was an Ana or Rein.

I used to love how in gold/plat those two can carry a game by themselves. Nothing beats a trusty Rein and Ana capturing the objective and protecting their team asses while soldier jerks himself off in the corner for getting a triple kill once.
