There's more than just the ending that changes in the second playthrough. Playing the game 4 times is due to the fact that they didn't know how to make an optimal videogame yet. Nier is also a game about subjectivity due to the fact that it's about two dad's(fuck brother) doing whatever it takes to get their daughter back.

Welll 2bf it's pretty stable on consoles, it just isn't optomized for PC.
Platinum probably cares a lot, but Platinum as of late seems to be synonymis with being quick, cheap, and pretty decent qualty while running alright.
