my biggest issue with Caviera was how twitchy and fast she was with that SPAS-15 side strafing you up close

but holy fuck Jackals PDW deals with her perfectly, hipfire+50 rounds for those close range attacks when she surprises you and you can still plink someone long range with the agoc and magazine size after the first engagement.

Continuum fucked up the first few rounds by not contesting piano, Canadian has said it himself that whoever controls piano wins the round so I'm not sure what that's about. They also didn't contest Pulse in train even though they knew he was there which could have cost them. But once they started putting Mira in the bathroom looking into piano they made a great comeback. 6 wins in a row, damn. Elevate gave a good try, I honestly thought there was no way Continuum was coming back from 0-4. Great first effort from an ex console team against the PC world champions.

While I think plans is by far the worst map in the game, I don't mind that objective. If you have a roamer you can easily pick Glass off the wing, and the attackers generally lock themselves into a firing lane.

The objective I hate both attacking and defending is the front office.

This is actually a very, very one dimensional view of the failings of Siege. The problem with Siege is the management of Ubisoft and the lack of common sense initiatives in driving the future of this game.

There are a number of compounding issues that severely hurt the game. Even when Ubisoft posts those player charts showing growth - Siege should be experiencing explosive growth like other, similar games, but you see spikes of growth at times (correlated to free weekends, Steam sales, DLC launches where season pass owners come back for a week or two to play the new OPs, etc)... But Siege should be blowing the fuck up. When you see meme pages and IGN sharing a lot of Siege related content, it seems like a lot of people have played Siege in the past or know about it, but currently are playing other games.

DLC Characters are a huge issue right now - The cost for Renown to earn them kind of requires you to play Siege fairly regularly to save up 50k Renown to get new characters. Personally I haven't played Siege at all this week because I've been playing Wildlands - so I've earned zero Renown. If I manage to get my 50k renown for a DLC period, I'm good, but I also haven't bought any cosmetics or any new items in that time. Hats are almost useless to me, which I feel is a negative for the game since I feel like there are things I can't have. If I don't get the 50k, I'm now behind and feel at a disadvantage, a negative for the game.

But a new player who just bought the game on Steam? He's 10 characters behind now. Hundreds of hours of grinding, with new characters being added. Some of these characters are essential and change the game competitively, so not having them really hurts your ability to play the game. Sure you can go and buy the Season Pass or the Y1 bundle, but for this game you bought for maybe 10-20 dollars on sale, it's going to cost 100 more dollars to catch up? You are simply just going to play the game, and then probably drop it if you aren't completely addicted.

Once you have these sorts of things, you can look at how Ubisoft's lack of fostering a "community" in Siege will hurt them, because people don't feel like they can engage in the game in a meaningful way outside of matches. Blizzard is very active on their own forums and addresses issues, whereas Ubisoft you can't even feel confident they are reading feedback. When there is a huge issue that has gone unfixed for months, and Ubisoft is making patches that make no sense to the average person... You have added more negative elements into a persons impression.

There are any number of ways we can look at the current systems in place, or how they are set up, and go from there. Why is there no "Mic Only" playlist or ranked match making? Why is it that there are no REAL penalties for quitting a ranked match, since there is no way to backfill spots? Why is the vote kick system still 4 votes needed to kick a troll, meaning having a friend in a game with you makes you immune to any repurcussions for fucking up peoples fun? These are all big, big issues in any other game would be a priority 1 task - we need to fix this ASAP... But they go unpatched, unmentioned, and never addressed.

There are any number of ways to slice the "What's wrong with Siege" cake, but it's never just one big issue killing this game. It's a ton of small, compounding issues that cause people to leave and not come back.

It feels like ubisoft doesn't care about the game. They do patches every now and then to keep people interested, but major bugs like the ranked elo glitch went unfixed for a fucking month. They also don't seem to play their own game, buffing operators to be obscenely overpowered for no other reason than "it's cool". Remember when they buffed Pulse's sensor to be real time out of nowhere? Or how about the idea of an operator with a rifle shield who can't be headshotted. Or the recent Glaz buff. Meanwhile operators like Blitz and Echo remain useless and operators like Tachanka and IQ need their abilities to be completely reworked. This shit doesn't make the game fun to play, it's not fun to play against Blackbeard or the new Glaz. People want to play Blitz but he's not fun to play.

Then there's the bugs. There's bugs still in the game from release, like that fucking C4 bug where you throw it and pick it up and then it glitches to explode instantly the next time you throw it. They have a public test server on the way so they stop breaking everything with new patches at least. But I wish they cared more about the game. An innovative game like Siege comes along and it's made by fucking Ubisoft of all companies.

Is removing Glaz's smokes a safe way to nerf him? He still has his scope but he can't just clear a room himself. He would need other people to bring smokes. Just like what they did to Thermite. He could clear certain reinforced walls himself with nades. Also with normal breaching charges he was a one man breaching team.
