I'd remove levelling altogether, but keep the artifacts. Legion's levelling feels like a meaningless chore and timegate before you can get to the real "power-up phase" that is 110 content. Let that traditional phase come out then in the form of artifacts not meaningless levels.

Warforging can stay, it never really affected much. Titanforging was always the issue.

I really like legendaries, but I agree they need to come from somewhere else other than grind grind grind. Not sure if a tradtional questline system would really work though.

This is all meaningless by the way. Despite everyone telling them titanforging is shit everyone is still playing the game, and probably playing it more than before as a whole. So its gonna stay.

MoP pissed me off with that cloak bullshit, WoD made it worse with the ring, and now we have legendary items that can randomly drop for everyone. Do people really like having multiple legendaries to worry about? Did you actually enjoy logging on an alt and being like "Oh boy time to fucking do this entire questline on this character too!"

Statistically, this is entirely unfounded.

You have those tokens that have "a low chance at a legendary", but you can target that slot. Sounds great on paper, but what if that chance is 0.001%? What if your targeted leggo also shares some multi-class bullshit?

For all the effort you put into farming 5000 nethershards (who knows how long this will take) It might be worth putting that time into M+ spam, and you'll get AP and other equipment out of that as well, not just 880 gear and a small undefined (but "low") chance at a legendary.

In fact, if it were that high, nobody would do anything else until they were decked out with every possible one they need.

This is indeed a system ripped straight out of D3. Basically the way it works is that special mobs in D3 can drop "Blood Shards" (sound familiar?) which you then use to gamble a specific type of item at an NPC - the item can range from magic (lowest quality) to legendary or set (highest quality). It's common to gamble a couple thousand blood shards and end up with nothing but jank legendaries or simply rares if you're particularly unlucky. The more desirable legendaries have lower percentage rates of appearing than the bad ones, so don't think you're going to get lucky by gambling for a stacked "type" of item, either.

No doubt the implementation will differ slightly in WoW, but it's going to function the same way.

What is a good backstory for an Orc Monk?

I was thinking that when he was child he was a sole survivor in a shipwreck that washed him up on the shores of Pandaria, years before the MoP expansion. He was then found and raised by a school of monks. Now he is on a journey to find himself so he returns to Kalimdor which leads him to make new friends and go on wacky adventures.

How does this sound? You think its lore friendly?
