I used to never have trouble sticking to one main pre-wrath but after leveling became so fast - I can hardly stand to play one character for more than I month. I get really into the idea and fantasy of class that I saw someone playing really well, so I decide to hop to that. Then do it over and over again. Now I have all the classes besides DH either maxed or almost maxed. I want to go back to just playing one though because I spread myself so thin over all these characters I never actually get anywhere and people that I play with become annoyed at me. Legion just has so much to do outside of raiding, and thats pretty much the only place that they're even remotely enjoyable. Especially in M+, don't get invites for that unless I overgear it.

Basically every single one of them these days.

They keep changing and we have no control over any of it. You can find something you enjoy (specifically just how it's played mechanically) and Blizzard will always do an overhaul resulting in you wanting to reroll something else.

There's really no such thing as classes anymore. A Warrior isn't really a Warrior, and a Priest isn't really a Priest. There's hardly any overall class identity/play style that they preserve over time. A 7.1.5 Warrior is a 7.1.5 Warrior, that's all. You might enjoy a class and consider it your main but a few patches down the road and you might end up hating it. That's modern WoW. They should really stop fucking around and write a few things in stone regarding class abilities and rotations then give us talents to change things going forward.

I get that we're all supposed to be living "in the now" and just accept whatever shit they pump out but honestly the whole system is plagued by autism. It's time consuming enough finding something you like, they shouldn't rapidly change this shit. For all these class changes and inevitable "we dun screwed up now we need to re-balance lol" phases we could have easily had multiple raid tiers by now or at the least, literally NEW specs for each class instead of the overwritten ones.

Monks are a boring "press the button and watch for 10 seconds" class with low APM and shit single target DPS. Monk healers are weak in PvE (but GOAT in PvP) and monk tanks are unnecessarily confusing and their mechanics make them difficult to heal in raids so they're undesireable

Battle Cry + Bladestorm can kill anything around, even if you have pulled an entire area. I found it pretty fun.

Legion is Pruning V2.0

In the past it was mostly additions side by side with some replacements. These days (since WOD) stuff is just being deleted and not replaced with anything on top of changing mechanics for the things that do remain. Before you could usually find a way to play your class (even if incorrectly and not at all optimally) after changes because there were enough abilities to play around with but now they (ignoring cooldowns) fit on one page, or in some cases, one bar.

No wiggle room now... you play it how it's intended or you're not even going to have incorrect buttons to press. I miss using shit like cone of cold as a non-frost mage to get that AoE slow kiting things. I don't care if they wanted to change it to cone of banana peels or whatever they want, I simply miss having the utility, and for a lot of classes/specs things just feel like they're missing.

I use x2 Ravens/Owls or sometimes x2 Moose personally but I don't have any problem with the fantasy behind BM. Most of it's players make it into some randumb shit, though. I play survival when I'm not BM though so I don't have a lot of experience with MM this expac. I've just enjoyed having a pet since playing early WoW and I didn't feel like warlock pets were as strong as hunter pets at the time.

Yeah the art team usually does a great job, story is just something they kind of fumble around with and then say "oh shit we forgot something" and then just toss something in at the end. But again it's not really that big of a deal since most people don't really care or pay attention to the story much.

Honestly, I just hate how hunter became the "new player class". Blizz even had it saying so in the class description at one point. I reason the "huntard" meme came to be was because of their players affinity for taking ANY weapon they can use. therefor pissing off rogue/warriors instead of the class actually being easy to play. Imo hunter has always had a decently high skill ceiling. Yeah, they could solo well for leveling but in order to solo really impressive shit you had to be pretty great at kiting, too. Which couldn't be done keyboard turning. For a while you could even see a big different between good hunter players and bad ones just through their playstyle - now every class is fairly easy to play. If I HAD to pick any one class that would be considered friendliest towards new players it would be Ret.

I said it was "good I suppose". it's a 6 second stun that can be talented to have a really short CD if you're spamming spenders. BUT we only have 1 stun, and in a game where honor talents are a thing you can spec to have any stun over 2 seconds removed, leaving Ret with no CC for a bit.

Heals for a dps class is really just meaningless unless you participate in a lot of wpvp/2v2s without a healer and if any team lets you get hardcasted heals off they aren't hitting their kick buttons. Healing in raids is a healers job and if I take time out of my rotation to casts some shitty 200k flash of lights that's damage i'm not doing to bosses and most probably me/others standing in bad shit.

Fury Warriors get some very consistent self healing (something like 6%? with legendary) on every Bloodthirst which over time adds up to a lot, FAR more than any dps class with heal spells. Really the only time Rets shields are good is if you're specced into Divine Intervention and have the shield bracers, which from experience I can say are a complete fucking waste if I do mechanics and don't stand in the bad.

But if we're strictly talking wpvp/leveling then yeah, Rets pretty user friendly and forgiving.

LoH is 10 minutes not 5, and it's not usable in RBGs and Arena.
You can also talent into Storm Bolt if you give up 1/2 uses of charge, which is still more mobility than Ret has.
You have Disarm vs melee, your "parry shield" for more anti melee and spell reflect. Second Wind is great if you're out of combat.

As someone who plays both Ret and Arms/Fury Warriors, I find I can last just as long on my Warrior with all the tools I have. Maybe you just need to get good

Alright, so I used to play a holy priest back in BC and got convinced to resub on a friends server.

I boosted a warlock for something different (I leveled one up way back to level 45 or so and enjoyed it) but it seems way more basic now and frankly boring.

So now I have to level a new priest from 1-100 to experience the new shit without slamming my head on the keyboard from boredom.

What's the fastest strat bros? I'm not paying another 60 fucking dollars for a boost.
