i always either use brass beast or huo long heater. brass beast will outdo enemy heavy combos with it's damage boost, and i spin up while jumping so the speed detriment isn't even so bad. more recently i have used nothing but huo long which is just the stock with flame aura to fuck up spies, ammo is never an issue in this game every time you kill one you get ammo for fucks sake. i run shotgun secondary because it is fun. melee can be anything, but i recommend the christmas mittens. players will lose focus if they see you with these, only hoovies generally wear it, however if you happen to get a lucky hit in the back it is practically a free kill since they can't fight back so it is basically a better stock as well

I had to make sure that all of my loadouts worked at least moderately well with with the hat, would have had a few completely different loadouts if it wasn't for the hat. I do like the hat tho, makes people easily recognize me, as well as the hat itself looking alright and the unusual being high tier in my opinion. Wish the damn effect would stop teleporting around every time I taunted tho

I like my pyro,demo,heavy, engineer, and spyloadouts.
But the rest are just kinda "check out my peen" loadouts.
I want to figure out something to go with my ze goggles though. Just haven't gotten around to it.
Will probably just swap the viewfinder for a quadwrangler for the whole "mad doctor" thing.

The tf2 team is notoriously stubborn about removing ANYTHING they put in no matter how obviously negative it is for the game, it's hands down the worst aspect of this dev team. It took literal years for them to remove set bonuses, which they admitted they knew was a risky idea from the start, and over a year to nerf the smissmas short circuit and baby face.

I just wanted to say "no" but I ended up giving lecture... Forgive me.
I found Shotgun or Family Business to be better picks against burst damage threats since you can rush them, flinch them from far or at least listen for decloaks as you go through a low profile path.
With Minigun only, Demoman will be a bother if you're following a high rise path or have to squeeze through small gates. Spy will drop onto you if you are at the open and under balconies.
Sniper shots will be harder to evade with crouch-taps once you dare to deploy your Minigun from far in his sightline. Entering the scene with a shotty and using your melee may help you to take cover.
Shotgun is situational and grants better burst damage for a "single" target. Minigun does 540 damage per second, while Shotgun do like 100-133 damage per second or so.
As a Heavy your utility is scattering crowds or scoring a killstreak with Minigun. More your pressure fire to push back enemy Engineers would hardly find time to recover. While doing so, you'll be giving playground to your Scouts at offense and Engineers on defense.
Alas, getting Shotgun will piss off your Medic and won't be beneficial unless you face those burst damage threats constantly. If your roamer or pocket Soldier decide to work as a team, it will be far more beneficial than using the Shotgun.

It's not OP, just W+M1-ragePyro is ineffective against DR. Airblast-Shotgun is effective against DR, also Scouts can track him. Reconsider your tactics.
I think it still needs a tweak; 40% longer cloak duration brings it to 7 seconds with 50% cloakmeter after feign, it should be 6 seconds and needs more drain imo.
I assume Valve gave Spy a long enough DR cloak duration to suffice when entering a choke point, but Spy already have L'etranger to do that.

Like I said, it's not a well-balanced weapon, but this webm does not demonstrate that.

Noone /actually/ tried to kill the spy. A pyro got some stray flames on him, and the medic landed one needle.

If the spy sponged 3 close-range rockets or pipes, yes, that's a problem. But he hardly negated any damage.

DR /should/ allow a spy to get out of a fight if he so chooses, /if he chooses so while he has the choice/.

The issue with the DR in it's current implementation is that spy can make that choice after he's already lost the fight, he's down to 25 HP and a rocket's flying at him, he activates the watch and gets out of there alive.

He should only be able to choose to feign death when that choice is still his to make, aka when he has enough health to take the initial hit >>171469201
