Basically my big problem with regards to how FF was handled is that it was actually promising. You had a pretty colorful cast of former Ultimates with conflicts among one another and each branch having its dedicated area of expertise also meant that people would always be disagreeing with one another over what's more important in this world.

Munakata was also a fun character at first since his perspective was valid in a lot of ways and Chisa having manipulated him was also not bad. Then comes along the killing game because one has to happen, the DR1 survivors survive just because and it all goes to hell because of pandering.
