Even though you're saying that, the posts I do put on a caption in don't really go any further either. I'm not complaining, it's not like I'm fishing after replies or anything like that when I post them. I just don't think adding captions to the screenshots really changes much. There's just not many people in this thread to really make the general busy I think, and that's ok. Yeah. You can hire employees. Like clubs, you earn points and have to spend them to upgrade things about your business, such as the ability to hire more employees. Most any item you put in your shop can be tagged as an item to sell by clicking it. Tagged items can be purchased by customers, and are replaced with an "out of stock" sign which either you or an employee can restock. Restocking costs the item's base value. Employees have varying levels of skill in different areas like sales, and they level up. You can promote them and such if you want, give them uniforms, check up on them.

As for the money, you choose the markup on all items, such as 25% (default), 15%, 5%, or 50%, 100%. This affects how many people come.

Not sure, but i think how well the building is decorated on the front affects customer traffic. There are even unlockable items that drive more traffic by decorating the front.

It's pretty fucking busy though. I couldn't keep up with all the customers. Need to unlock a 2nd employee slot soon. Oh, also you or an employee can engage in conversation with a customer and ask them about their price range, preferences, answer questions, etc, which increases their likelihood to buy something, and you can even suggest an item. It's very interactive.

You can, but I don't know the criteria. I saw one of my player made sims (that is currently just in the sim pool and doesn't live anywhere) I don't know if it's a requirement for them not to be an active household. It might or might not be, but yes you can get real sims in there.

No idea. You can make decent looking Sims in 3 but it takes a lot of time, effort, and mods. The townies always look like hell (at least in 4 you get a cute townie once in a while).
