Mix it up between orb dungeons and realm dungeons. Take advantage of the half stamina cost to quickly build up stamina shards to refill for more orb runs.

Honestly, not really. Sephi, Gilgamesh and Red XIII have been my core for the longest time and I'll probably keep them unless I get something completely better. I've kept Serah as a healer since the FF1 event and really need to swap her and the last spot is whatever I end up with good gear and stats at the time. I may swap Vaan or Freya in if I can level them but for the most part I just kind of play it by ear.

As for my run, I ditched Bill and Ted through a sidequest in Mysidia. Demon Wall possessed the Serpent's Road and they turned themselves to stone stopping it

Now with some free slots, I looked up where Poo is hanging out and he's in a new dungeon in the little cave where you turn the pink tail in. His little story is someone poisoned the king of Fabul so he ran off and went there to find a cure. Got to the boss, but been a little lazy in killing him

The game's a long, drawn-out, lazy travel narrative for most of the game. The minigames make sense. Three-man teams kept the party nice and tight considering that you could build your characters however you wanted, as the entire point of the game was playing with the Materia system.

That's like saying that in an FFVIII game you'd take out GF's and Draw entirely instead of just fixing the problems that were goin' on. FFVII could rather use better and more interesting uses of Materia and more difficult battles that makes you push the system harder.

Well, I wound up with basically nothing to talk about from a translation aspect, but oh well, I had fun.
The only time I can say the silliness of the translation changed a character's personality is with Ghido. In the translation, Ghido berates Bartz in almost every single line, calling him stupid for the questions he asks and whatnot, but in Japanese that doesn't happen even once. Other than that it's just goofy stuff that's ultimately inconsequential and not entirely out of character. I'm not sure how to feel about it.
