I know it's not likely to happen, but I would really love it if the DLC introduced a traveling companion mechanic since they're going the "big open world" route this time around. Let you select a companion from what you've completed so far (changeable of course) who follows you around in the overworld just doing adventure stuff with you.

Make it so you can give your companion a priority of behavior, such as helping you collect stuff, defending you/attacking enemies, etc.

Maybe even make it so each companion brings various pros and cons when they're with you, as follows:

>Sidon helps you move around water more quickly and is strongly suited to combat, however lightning storms and the desert render him really weak
>Riju can make it so you don't have to worry about lightning storms but isn't really suited towards combat
>Teba can help you get around cliffs and such more easily and is more suited to ranged combat, not sure what his con would be

I don't know anything for the Goron rep since I've been putting that part off forever (I hate Gorons and I'm too busy exploring and such anyways).

Maybe give us a Hylian and Sheikah rep each as well? I dunno, I feel like they could have done so much more with the awesome characters they introduced instead of just giving them five seconds of screen time and then leaving them to rot.

Use the bows they drop to smack them with Shock Arrows once in a while. I get 20 arrows per fight, so I'm not scared to waste a bunch. Gets things done quite a bit faster.

There are some metal boxes on a nearby cliff next to the ball slot. Dropping those on him can get you a good amount of free damage. Also some boulders but i missed while trying to roll them onto him. Might require precision with stasis.

There are also some explosive barrels on the highest mountain on the island but i dont know if its possible to get those down to him. Nearly killed myself trying.

I had enough weapons and arrows to get his health really low then used bombs to finish him off. One of the closest fights I've had in the game honestly.

Then it shouldn't hand out shit weapons even during the endgame and force you to find weapons that can put a dent in enemies that aren't any harder than enemies at the start of the game, just have unnecessarily high health.

Go slaughter several monster camps, then go to dueling peaks stable, and keep resting till noon and talking to the guy who tells you about the moon. As soon as he tells you it's coming, warp to the destination and it's done.

Can someone with more autism than myself _conclusively_ find the shop restock / vegetable/fruit respawn / blood moon respawn conditions?

I thought a bit about what experiment we need to do I think it's:

1) Pick a vegetable and shop. Pick the vegetable and buy something from the shop.
2.A) Wait 1 hour, making sure the game doesn't detect you idling (maybe it halts timers if you don't press a button), maybe by pressing a button every minute
3) Check the shop and/or vegetable and/or talk to the moon guy. If they haven't respawned or it's not a blood moon, go back to 2

And then repeat this experiment but instead of 2.A do:
2.B) Kill 16 enemies
(This tests which things respawn based on kills)
2.C) Walk from dueling peaks stable to hateno village
(This tests which things respawn with steps walked)
2.D) Talk to an NPC 10 times
(This tests which things respawn with NPC interactions)

Anyone willing to put themselves through some of this?

You could technically use an arrow as a torch to light things on fire, it doesn't last long, but if you put the tip of the arrow on a flame, it will catch fire, and if you move around flamable stuff like grass or lanterns, it will set fire to it while still in the bow. Sometimes it's good enough for things you need a torch or a wood weapon for but don't have one on you.
